Well that russia-england game had 52-48 possesion and a 2-1 chances/shots/target/corner ratio, so england were better but not by much a 2-1 score would've been a fair result. On the other hand 1-1 wasn't something totally unfair, like say germany beating northern ireland only 1-0 with crazy possesion and chances ratios. And I don't think england sucks, they really do. They have mediocre quality and a horrible coach and they finished 1-1 with the WORST team at this euro and finished 2nd in group behind ing wales what talent does england have son? vardy? harry kane? rooney? the spearchuckers on the wings? eric ing dyer? they are nobodies tbh. A bunch of monkeys tbh. Not ONE of them would play for any serious NT (germany, france, spain, croatia).

I'm just saying that in that type of tournaments upsets are more likely than in, for example, a league where everybody plays everybody (unless you play in the ty Argentinian league) over an extended period of time.

In those cases the champion is the best team 99,9% of the time 'cause all 20, 36 or 38 games matter. You can have a bad flukey game and still be champions. You can win 5 straight games, lose just 1 and still be in the run. That's why they are more fair, imho.

The main thing is the same as before- chile depends on streaky, ball hogging midgets vargas and sanchez to score goals, while relying on a 3rd tier CB (jara) and a fierce midget (medel, love that guy but he shouldnt be enough to shut down higuain, dimaria/aguero and messi at once). And thats assuming you want to call everyone else equal when really the only matchups chile wins on the pitch are vidal and bravo, only time alexis was ever a factor against argentina is in a penalty shootout.
