The Houston Rockets have long planned to chase Durant in free agency, but when Durant and Rockets star James Harden were spotted spending time together earlier this month, sources said the Rockets are not expected to get serious consideration as a destination from Durant.
Lol... damn you're fun.
Which went on to say that all of it meant nothing and Harden said as much. Don't pass on partial info to me buddy.
That's a month old.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is planning to host free-agency meetings at a singular location starting July 1, league sources told The Vertical.
Durant’s representatives at Roc Nation are working to solidify invitations with the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Thunder, league sources said.
The meetings are expected to take place in New York, but teams are still awaiting word on a location.
The Thunder remain the frontrunners to re-sign Durant, likely on a one-plus-one-year deal that will allow Durant to return to free agency in the summer of 2017, league sources said. But more than any other rival suitor, the Warriors have Durant's attention, league sources said.
Durant’s public and private criteria for the free-agent selection process have pertained to a singular focus: the chance to win les immediately.
Several teams that have interest in Durant – the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards – could still find audiences with him, but appear to be outsiders in the process now.
Durant is planning to leave on a publicity tour in the Far East on July 9, and a decision is expected before the departure date, league sources said.
If I'm KD there is zero chance that I would go to the Spurs. We'll have no pg and a 41yo center. We don't even have wing depth for dominant small ball lineups.
You're NOT KD.
So what are the odds that the Spurs play Kyle Anderson at his natural position -- point guard -- instead of playing him as a backup 3?
I think it depends how he fits in defensively with his height. Other than that I think he has the skills.
they're coming back.
You must be joking.
In this new NBA this guy needs to put on good weight and play at the 4. Too slow anywhere else.
Duncan can come back. Manure should go back to his home country of Southern Mexico and become a politician. I'm sure ElNono agrees
Wonder if they would consider Malcolm Delaney as a cheap pg option. They love their Euroleaguers.
Duncan, who turned 40 in April, will help Popovich make the team’s pitch to Durant could signal that Duncan has decided to return for his 20th season with the Silver and Black.
Very good sign.
I feel like they have a plan in mind. Probably bring over Bertans and another stash player for cheap. Court KD and Conley or Gasol. Manu and Tim come back on the cheap. There's no way they are just going into FA laid back.
That's just a rumor, but if true, IMO it means TD would only postpone retirement if Durant is a serious threat to leave OKC, who is the only guy he would come back on a minimum vet salary for. Without a significant FA additions, Pop might just pay TD a farewell retirement tour contract and spend the season developing a bench. We will only get to the finals again if some of our youngsters make a development leap anyways.
There are a couple that need playing time and a defined role to see if they will make it. Others are at least a couple of years away unfortunately bc they are so young or even if a little bit older like Bertans, they will be rookies and need time in the system anyways. It's really a transition season in many ways.
Edit:TD is not a fan of retirement tours but he night want to help develop the young guys bc he enjoys coaching teammates. There could still be a desire for him to play. But like I said above, we'd need younger guys to step up.
If KD leaves OKC, he most likely will suit up with the Dubs.
The Dubs with Curry, Thompson and Green have too much youth and potential compared to Leonard, Aldridge and Green. I don't think it would even be a close contest. So let's all pray that KD will remain with OKC.
Good point. The best scenario for us if he doesn't join us is for him to stay put.
The Spurs with Green, Leonard and Aldridge would be just as attractive. Plus he is closer to that age group himself. I think Durant stating that who he will play with and be around will be a big factor as to where he goes. Personally i think SA was and is his first option from the beginning.

Less difference than you might think in age with DG, KL, and LMA. Maybe just a year or two for the three and Curry has a history of breaking down now. It's a fluke when he comes out of any season not needing surgery and/or rehab.
Curry is already breaking down. LMA can play a long while given the style of play he uses.
Except Green will more than likely have to be gone to make room for him.
