Brought to you by a mere poster who, like everybody else in this forum, thinks they can run a basketball franchise

-Ball handling like Jamal Crawford (very quick crossover behind the legs)
-very accurate mid ranger floater (reminds me of Juan Carlos Navarro)
-ability to sky for the dunk (like Westbrook)
-got some pretty massive hands (like a mini Kawhi)
    -6'9 wingspan
    -good lateral movement

Lets see what the Spurs can do to improve his defense and his shot. The athleticism is there, it's just the bball IQ and work ethics.

I don't understand how this should be its own thread as opposed to a post in one of the other 5 Murray threads

Seems more athletic than Kawhi. Dude can do a standing dunk. I don't think any of the other Spurs perimeter players except maybe Simmons can do that.

Could he even touch rim if he added 70 pounds of weights on him?

People that don't work out don't understand...

Regardless of his vertical, the Westbrook analogy is weird.

That's literally something that someone would say that just did knitting while their husband was watching the games. Sees Murrays highlights. "Ooooh...he can do that dunking like that black guy on that team you were watching the other night. Randy...what's his name. He was on the same team with that tall white guy with the really long hair."

    "You mean Randy Westbroom?"

    "Yeah...Westbroom."

    "Yeah...he's like that."

Agreed, and also there's no reason on earth why this guy ever needs to be 6'5 240. I'd like to see him with 15 pounds at 185 or even 190. Doubt he even needs to be at 200 to fill out.

Agreed. Just some people don't understand what athletic means.

If you put on muscle, and you don't jump better, you're not training for sports, you're in a gym probably doing the same routine on a weekly basis letting supplements gather up for gains. The kid can gain weight and become much more explosive by doing so. Doesn't mean he will, depends on if he knows what he's doing. Kawhi increased his explosion and speed by putting on weight. This kid is much less developed than Kawhi was. If you go look at Westbrook's college tape, he wasn't nearly as explosive consistently as he is now. I'm not saying he will have Westbrook athleticism, but the kid is a natural athlete, and in the right training program and eating right, could easily increase his explosion.
You can tell from his videos, his explosion is not game to game consistent, which usually is a sign of underdeveloped muscle groups. That's a good sign. He has room to improve, and will if his work ethic is as good as he claims.

I will say the way he attacks is reminiscent of Westbrook, not so much the athletic ability tho.
