Fast fact I didn't know...for all those Duncanites complaining about the money paid to Kobe...

    Pretty ing astounding

This is something the Los Angeles Lakers organization recognized very early on, and they used Kobe’s star power to sign a $4 billion TV deal with Warner. That deal helped increase the Lakers’ operating earnings to over $100 annually. These numbers are astounding considering the Lakers were worth only $200 million when Kobe first joined the team. Now they’ve been valued at approximately $2.6 billion
them s still owe Kobe at least 500 million tax free if you ask me

    I just ran the numbers..Jim is playing for 5.6 million....Kobe got a 2 yr 48.5 million deal...so ~ 24.25 million a yr....divided by 82 games is about 300k a game...times 19 games = 5.6 million a year....took Kobe 19 games to make what it will take Tammy a whole season....

Re ed take is re ed. Every single nba team sky rocketed in value after the balmer deal. Are the Knicks worth $3b because of Melos star power? Are the Bulls worth $2.3 b because of roses star power?

Every non re knows the teams are worth what they are worth because of tv rights and potential merchandise sales opportunities.
The Spurs went from a worth of $76M in 1996 to a worth of $1.15b over a similar period, the rate of increase is similar and it's solely due to the global expansion of the league.

Warner didn't sign a 20 year deal because of the star power of Kobe when Kobe was clearly close to the end of his career, Warner didn't become a multi billion dollar conglomerate because they sign long term deals based on the short remaining career of one player. A grade 12 student can figure that out. You have to be a total re to believe that. Not to mention the deal was heavily based on ratings. The rockets have the second best deal, was that due to the star power of Howard, you financially illiterate moron?

Then how come the Spurs aint worth dog :😂😂😂

Fact is all these teams increased in value because of the Lakers being the draw... And the Lakers were the draw because of Kobe...so all financial roads despite locale all lead back to Kobe 😂😂😂

    I wouldn't call $1.15b dog .

And if that is your logic, then why are the Knicks worth more than lakers? And why didn't the lakers plummet in value right now. You brain dead yuts

you would think laker fan would stop asking for hurt at some point- guess not; now that the team is reduced to dog that the likes of whiteside won't meet with, i'm glad they can project their depression onto the "poorness" of a man who will make more in the test/lowest paying year of his career than they + their children will make in their collective lifetimes
