His prepared comments were strictly about the golf course that they were formally opening.

The political questions were tossed at him afterwards. If you consider the opening was practically at the same time as the Brexit results were being announced it is somewhat understandable that he didn't know how specific areas of the UK including Scotland had voted.

Don't be a dumb ass. The guy made that speech at 5:30am our time after just stepping off the plane. They had just announced the overall Brexit vote an hour earlier.

do you really think it would be reasonable for him to know exactly how Scotland had voted?

It perfectly reasonable to point out that criticizing that is some really unreasonable Monday Morning Quarterbacking from Maddow, a partisan hack.

I don't think Hillary killed Ambassador Stevens either.

What Donald Trump’s New Communications Director Really Thinks Of Donald Trump, In 11 Deleted Tweets

Donald Trump is having trouble putting together a full-fledged presidential campaign. Trump has a staff of little more than 70 people, compared to more than 700 for Hillary Clinton.

The problem: many experienced Republican operatives do not want to work for him.

Today Trump was able to fill a key role. Jason Miller, a senior communications adviser for Ted Cruz, signed up to be Trump’s communications director.

Before Miller signed on, however, he had some cleaning up to do. Miller deleted dozens of harshly anti-Trump tweets from his Twitter account, many of them authored just a few weeks ago.

ThinkProgress was able to recover cached versions of Miller’s deleted anti-Trump tweets.

Any member of a rival’s staff is likely to have some negative things to say about their opponents. But Miller’s tweets about Trump frequently drip with contempt and disgust. Here are some highlights:

Trump is spamming Scottish MPs with fundraising emails — which isn’t even legal

A Scottish member of parliament couldn’t resist sending a sharp reply in response to fundraising messages sent by GOP candidate Donald Trump and his son, the Scotsman reports.

Real estate mogul Trump sent the emails to Scottish MPs last week, prompting Glasgow parliamentarian Natalie McGarry to question whether his campaign bought emailing lists, calling it “bizarre for a grassroots campaign.”

The Scotsman reports the donation requests went largely ignored — until McGarry fired off her response, which came after a follow-up plea from Trump’s son.

“Quite why you think it appropriate to write emails to UK parliamentarians with a begging bowl for your father’s repugnant campaign is completely beyond me,” she responded. “Given his rhetoric on migrants, refugees and immigration, it seems quite extraordinary that he would be asking foreign nationals for money; especially people who view his dangerous divisiveness with horror.”

McGarry then said American elections are for the American people to decide — but she hoped voters would reject him come November.

“The thought of his reactionary type of politics and apparent ignorance of world affairs having access to a seat at the world table is both surreal, and terrifying,” she wrote. “The above is a long way to say No, and do not contact me again.”

Further, it is illegal for Trump to both solicit and take campaign contributions from foreign nations.

The Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) prohibits any foreign national from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly.

It is also unlawful to help foreign nationals violate that ban or to solicit, receive or accept contributions or donations from them. Persons who knowingly and willfully engage in these activities may be subject to fines and/or imprisonment.”

Donald Trump expected he was going to be treated like royalty when he waltzed into the Scottish town of Balmedie. Donald Trump wanted to build a golf course on an environmentally sensitive part of the North Sea coast. Donald Trump was instead met with considerable opposition by local farmers.

Not everyone in this sleepy coastal town welcomed Donald Trump. When locals started yelling, “Yankee Go Home!” Donald Trump began using a practice he used to chase his African-Americans tenants out of his buildings in New York. He started a campaign of shadowy intimidation and smear. His New York style of bullying just angered the local farmers even more.

A Scottish filmmaker James Trosh also posted his short film, “Fighting Trump” on Youtube. Trosh’s film shows Trump blatantly lying to local towns people and the people who opposed him.

But hey, he's a great businessman... made lots of money... so it's all ok, right?

Benghazi Ambassador Chris Stevens’ Family Just Made Donald Trump Look Like an Even Bigger Fool

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...rc=twsrc%5Etfw

When asked who she blames for the attack that took her brother’s life, this is what she had to say:

I do not blame Hillary Clinton or Leon Panetta. They were balancing security efforts at embassies and missions around the world. And their staffs were doing their best to provide what they could with the resources they had. The Benghazi Mission was understaffed. We know that now. But, again, Chris knew that. It wasn’t a secret to him. He decided to take the risk to go there. It is not something they did to him. It is something he took on himself.

She was then asked what she thought of Hillary Clinton’s conduct on Benghazi:
She has taken full responsibility, being head of the State Department, for what occurred. She took measures to respond to the review board’s recommendations. She established programs for a better security system. But it is never going to be perfect. Part of being a diplomat is being out in the community. We all recognize that there’s a risk in serving in a dangerous environment. Chris thought that was very important, and he probably would have done it again. I don’t see any usefulness in continuing to criticize her. It is very unjust.

Here’s what she had to say about whether or not she felt her brother’s death had been politicized:
Yes! Definitely politicized. Every report I read that mentions him specifically has a political bent, an accusatory bent. One point that seems to be brought up again and again is the accusation that the attack was a response to the video. I could understand why that conclusion would be made, because it was right after the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Egypt. But, frankly, it doesn’t matter that that was the thinking, that night, about why the attack occurred. It’s irrelevant to bring that up again and again. It is done purely for political reasons.
Dr. Stevens also went on to say that it’s “not appropriate” for some (mostly Republicans) to use her brother’s death as an election issue and that he had “a lot of respect” for Hillary Clinton.

She also said that this new report recently released didn’t “look like anything new” and that what Republicans found was what we had already known.

Move over, ‘Trump U,’ the new scandal is the ‘Trump Ins ute’

But as it turns out, there’s a new, related controversy surrounding the “Trump Ins ute,” which is something else. The New York Times reports today that the Republican candidate “lent his name, and his credibility” to this seminar business, which offered Trump’s “wealth-creating secrets and strategies” for up to $2,000.

The truth was something else altogether.

As with Trump University, the Trump Ins ute promised falsely that its teachers would be handpicked by Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump did little, interviews show, besides appear in an infomercial – one that promised customers access to his vast ac ulated knowledge. “I put all of my concepts that have worked so well for me, new and old, into our seminar,” he said in the 2005 video, adding, “I’m teaching what I’ve learned.”

Reality fell far short. In fact, the ins ute was run by a couple who had run afoul of regulators in dozens of states and been dogged by accusations of deceptive business practices and fraud for decades. Similar complaints soon emerged about the Trump Ins ute.

Yet there was an even more fundamental deceit to the business, unreported until now: Extensive portions of the materials that students received after forking over their seminar fees, supposedly containing Mr. Trump’s special wisdom, had been plagiarized from an obscure real estate manual published a decade earlier.

All things considered, when Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) referred to Trump as a “con man,” the senator may have been on to to something.

Consider the revelations from recent weeks:

    * Those who ran “Trump University” have faced credible allegations of stuffing their own pockets by preying on the vulnerable, selling unsuspecting students snake oil at indefensible prices and through misleading claims.

    * Trump has boasted at great length about the millions of dollars he’s given away through charitable donations – though many of these donations don’t appear to exist and many of the promises he made publicly went unfulfilled.

    * A considerable chunk of Trump’s campaign fundraising went to Trump corporate products and services, giving rise to a new word for the political lexicon: “scampaign.”

    * And now the “Trump Ins ute” is facing allegations of being yet another fraudulent operation, complete with bogus claims, shady characters, and “the theft of intellectual property at the venture’s heart.”

    The Timesreport added:

The ins ute was another example of the Trump brand’s being accused of luring vulnerable customers with false promises of profit and success.

Others, besides Trump University, include multilevel marketing ventures that sold vitamins and telecommunications services, and a vanity publisher that faced hundreds of consumer complaints.

Mr. Trump’s infomercial performance suggested he was closely overseeing the Trump Ins ute. “People are loving it,” he said in the program, led “The Donald Trump Way to Wealth” and staged like a talk show in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience. “People are really doing well with it, and they’re loving it.” His name, picture and aphorisms like “I am the American Dream, supersized version” were all over the course materials.

Yet while he owned 93 percent of Trump University, the Trump Ins ute was owned and operated by Irene and Mike Milin, a couple who had been marketing get-rich-quick courses since the 1980s.

Ridiculous. I recycle and compost waaayyyyy more than I send to the landfill.

Obviously the hilarity is Boot's nickname being validated via an economic speech backdrop.
