Haven't San Diego sports fans suffered enough?
Where have you been? I mean, in our exchanges this year all of these events have to surprise you. You were touting much different stuff than is actually happening.
Actually best case scenario is tank and get their top-3 in 2017. They do have to give up their 2018 pick, but not their next first. If they finish out of the top-3 in 2017, they have to give up their first in both '17 and '19.
Which is a long-winded way of saying...

If I were LA (and I'm not) I would seriously consider taking other teams crap in trades in order to stock pile assets like draft picks. Plenty of teams will pay to have a team with cap space absorb guys and send nothing back. Cap space means freedom and if you will suck anyways might as well get assets.
Or even good players. You can get good players with cap space in trades. For example:
how the mighty have fallen- looks like another season of:
"they were selling your "
"2nd 5th"
warriors bandwagoning for you lot
Jim "Mr. ing Know-it-all" Buss, is useless as an owner. Instead of being like his dad, and surrounding himself with intelligent basketball minds, he tries to call all the shots, while alienating the very people his dad built a legacy around. I hate the Lakers organization with a passion, but I do have respect for the greatness over the years.
I will enjoy this downturn while it lasts, which might be a while if Buss refuses to sell.......but then again, it is kind of hard to sign away your franchise while your head is stuck deep up your own ass.
Woj: "Mitch reached out to Mozgov early and he's a Centerpiece to what they are doing".
But seriously, it's good. That is smart. Compete the best you can without going crazy in FA.
He's probably going to command $14 mil a year, 3-4 yrs and the Lakers aren't done spending those dollars on non impact players. I'd rather have them use it on pieces that can actually make an impact and help bring a winning culture. There's no rush to win even talk playoffs, but damn I hope they bring a semblance of leadership in this team.
I can see a 2 year deal which would make sense. They would have cap space next year and guys on tradeable deals as well. Finally smart.
It's looking like a 4 year deal, dude![]()
4 years $65m with Mozgov according to Woj
4 yrs $65 million? Are you ing kidding me
FUUUUUCCCCKKKKK

Welp, 4 year 65M for a guy who rode the bench last year. I mean, that is what is going on in this market.
It's still a good thing for next season and then still reasonable trade piece if he does well. But 4 years is rough. If he doesn't perform and does not prove to be a starter, that will suck.
But I get the logic. If he can play well a starting C for 15-17M is not terrible moving forward.
dude is turning 30 too, nothing smart about this deal, tbh
4 ing years
Yessir!
this is actually depressing , don't mind the smileys, it's a ll a front![]()
Lucky for the Lakers: Parsons signing max with Portland
Still down![]()
No not smart. I thought they were smart for not chasing stars and just getting guys at position of need but I no way thought it would be 4 years.
If it were Barnes (someone young) I get that. But he's old and has not been amazing. I would have rather paid 2 years 20M each year than 4 years.
