    So, we have excuses ...
if it's bad metric then it should not be used against Mozgof.
it's a valid one ... then it crucifies them both.

No metric is perfect, and Oak and even Hibbert being on crap teams will lower their +/-. At one point, D'Bust was near the bottom among PGs.

But Mozgov was on the NBA le winners, playing with Lebron, and still was the 2nd worse in the league here.

well it's not the metric that is wrong, is the usage of it that is.

I dont care for plus/minus even the real one.
I prefer to use it only for line-up groupings.
As for mozgof ... look I aint gonna tell you he is a good signing.
I dont know if it's even gonna be decent.

I just think if healthy it's not the worst and I do believe he is a upgrade over Hibbert.
But hibbert is a low bar

    You guys playing checkers.

What the lakers are doing is that when they realized that they are not even getting a meeting with the top FA, they say "forget it, let's go drive up the market so that teams will over pay. We will leave some in the battle chest and come back strong next year."

CIA buss if you ask me.

Spurs signed a much superior big for 3 mil per year..Dedmon looked like Wilt vs. LA last night..

To be fair, Phil's signing of Noah has been even worse, since they're forced to play him, which prevents them from utilizing their best lineup with Porzingis at the 5..

As I said in the Luol Deng thread, though, current Lakers have to be judged differently..they'll have a difficult time attracting FAs with D'Tective on the roster..

Then again you`ve got Portland with 123mil roster, with 134,5 next year, with like 100mil for their backcourt lead by 18,5 Crabbe, 17 mil Turner

The bar is so low in LA even Magic will end up looking good in comparison by the Fakers getting the 8th seed in 2 years.
