    I love Boban.

But I think I'd rather have Ian & Milutinov than Pau & Boban. I think ... maybe.
    I'd be good with that.

I don't know. But it's basically the same team with the same holes as last year (which, I'm not complaining I've been on the SA is not too far bandwagon all off season) but replace Tim with Pau or Ian.

Not sure if that improves SA enough, but both players *should* be better than current Tim on the court.

Then you replace Butler/Bonner/Martin/West with LJC, Bertans (hopefully), maybe Boban is back, Murray. And hopefully have Manu back along with Mills who's still there.

Willie Reed wouldn't be a bad get.

The names aren't going to be pretty for the Spurs this summer. But hopefully they get some much needed fresh blood in here.

This. Gonna be an uneventful offseason "names" wise. No way we can get Pau or any notable players to come here for cheap.

Yup only way Spurs get a big name is if KD or Pau said yes. Then they would make the moves to make that happen (with Pau, maybe their 10M would get it done, but not sure).

But as long as they get some younger-ish guys who have some bounce and upside (hopefully) that will help. SL is in good shape with LMA/DG/KL, it was the bench that needed help and versatility.

But man, SA badly needs another 6th man level guard.

Kind of sad when the rookie you drafted is probably going to be the biggest name your team added in the offseason but it's how things are looking right now.

He might not be bad as an athletic big. He blocks shots and rebounds well already. He is only 26 and will be cheaper than what we are seeing right now.

Ian. Might cost Boban right? Cap vexes me
Yeah the cap has me all over the place right now. But from what I gather it depends how much he gets offered, how much we get Pau or Ian for. And we still have to sign bertans with cap so there's that.

The league really needs to increase the max so every schmo in the league isn't making 15 MIL.

So those who want to know about Pau to Blazers:

Assuming they keep Crabbe since cap hold is low, renouncing Leonard & Harkless gets them to about 15M to offer Gasol it looks like (more than the Spurs have).

Isn't Bobans salary capped? He can't make over a certain amount which is relatively low, I think. (Some cap savvy person help us out, please)

Probably just LJC insurance but, the Spurs have so much raw talent already, they should work on developing the ones they have in house first. They need some impact/dependable role players that can be used in medium/high leverage situations.

Don't know if this was posted before, Evan Turner to Portland.
Definitely they were looking for playmaking.

Whats sad? He is a good young talent that should bring a lot of excitement to the program. I don't get what is sad about a draft pick coming in as an exciting piece?

Weird that the blowhards in Golden State haven't leaked anything about how KD was blown away by their presentation.

If they need to get rid of Leonard and Harkless we should jump in and offer some of our draft stash trash like Hanga.

He can't make more than the greater of the Spurs' cap space x 4.27 (if the Spurs re-up him) or $58 Million (if he signs an offer sheet with another team). Both of those over four years, obviously.

    ???????

I'm talking about big names here, in comparison to big nba names that are already established. I never said drafting him was sad....

If Simmons and Ayres had a baby, maybe. No more 26-year-old prospects. If you want vets, get vets. If you want young guys, get young guys. Don't try to do both in the same player.

Cheers! Thanks. With those parameters, what would you consider a reasonable offer for Boban?
