Is this true? I heard he was a huge pot head and alcoholic...how the F did this guy perform so well athletically with all that in his system?
Article claims its a myth but I heard it before from other sites

is Kirby drinking a Coronita?
I thought only trannies drank those
"after"
Not really much of a story if it was after games. , 20 years later it's not much of a story even If it were before or during either.
I'm sure there were a fair share of players smoking weed and snorting coke in the 80s.
Well if that was the case, he'll certainly be paying for it soon enough. I think it may be an exaggeration, he never drank that much after games but he probably had a bunch of beer that he and his buddies or teammates would share. That's just my take.
No way would his kidneys and liver take that kind of abuse and hold up season after season where he'd often play in the range of 100 games or more, not including the preseason or Olympics. And with everything negative we've heard about him from his playing days, one thing we, or at least I, haven't heard about him is that he was a pothead or a drunk. So I'm going to take it he drank in moderation like most any athlete.
Today's NBA
"better athletes"
Eastern Bloc Methods
"better nutrition"

You mean a super athlete was able to drink what the average american does after playing intense sports? whoa![]()
Ho Ree !! A WHOLE sixer? Do you know what type of beer he enjoyed the most? Was in an IPA or a Lager? Do you know if he ate while or before drinking? Were they cans or bottles? Geez! There are so many questions that I have now.
Yesterday's NBA
Making an alcoholic, gambling-addicted chucker look good
OJ Mayo's drug-addled ass would have been a superstar in the '90s
45-36 final scores
The Dead Ball Era
"But, but, they played defense back then!"
In reality, there was no talent back then - just iso-chucking on offense and hard fouls disguised as "tough defense"
'90s ball
'90s basketball in theory:
'90s basketball in reality:
As opposed to iso players and 3-point chuckers, whether they're good at it or not, of today's NBA, where defense is optional.
Did you ever see that Chamillionaire MJ video where he talks about him? Says its well known hes a weed guy
Rumor has it that LeBron's pre-game meal is "lean"...dat Sizzurp.![]()
He has yellow eyes b/c of liver damage (jaundice) & due to being life long smoker (Cigar).![]()
I don't know man some with so called good genetics can drink a 6 a day and live long lives, not out of the rhealm of possibility. I agree with most of what you said though, that might wear on you after a good while being an athlete. Maybe the rest of his life around that was sound as far as diet and exercise levels etc., who knows?Thats what the F I am saying, forget that stuff. That is an appetizer or a late night cap only, after the real .
That's just one source. I only recall it saying MJ wouldn't give him an autograph.
A cigar is one thing but weed is another.
I can buy that he did it sometimes after some games but every game? No way...
