Evan Turner got close to 20 mill, do you realistically think he's being offered less than Turner?![]()
Are you sure about that $20M? I hadn't heard any numbers coming out of Miami regarding Wade.

So last year, more or less after the Spurs talked with Aldridge, they sent Splitter to the Hawks for cap space without even knowing Aldridge's decision. Aldridge was torn between Spurs and the Suns for a while and Splitter was gone. Do you think something similar is going to happen tomorrow?
A player is only worth what someone is willing to offer - Wade is tired of taking discounts with the promise of being paid later (which is what Miami wants him to do again as they chase Durant and max out Whiteside. Now, there might be a team that WOULD offer him more than what Turner got, but he obviously wants to find a team that he would either have a chance at a ring or have the opportunity to play with his friend(s).
Yeah, I suppose that could be a reason however, there's no reason to hide it unless you're not the father (JK). I just find it very puzzling that your best player would rather attend to a personal matter rather than help convince one of the 3-5 best players in the game to join your team. My definition of a personal matter is one in which the player doesn't want to disclose publicly. A birth of his child doesn't fit that description.
On one hand KD seems less likely to join the Spurs, so the Spurs would be foolish to prematurely trade or cut players.
On the other hand, the moves they have to make are less severe/impactful than trading Splitter, so maybe the risk is worth the reward.
Well we did all hear he got a "very aggressive offer" from the Blazers and nothing since so it obviously wasn't aggressive enough.
The man's holding out for some reason since Portland is a pretty good team with a cosmopolitan city... So... There's that.
Dude. It's Kawhi. I bet he loves silent films.

Free agent center Justin Hamilton has agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets, league source tells The Vertical.
Honestly, the Spurs have lost out on nothing so far. If they have, I would like to hear some names and why.

Washington, San Antonio and Minnesota in the mix for C Ian Mahinmi, who won’t return to Indy next year after Pacers’ deal w/Al Jefferson.

Charlotte, Dallas, Portland and Orlando also working on Mahinmi.
Mozgov s contact set the bar, I wonder if we could get him on a deal though. Out of that list we are the most serious contender and we have connections...
That doesn't really bode well for the talks with Reed. Hamilton is far from proven, and not even that close to good if you're giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Ohhh to many heads... sure to drive up the price. Pau might be the only big we can get a deal.
I think you misunderstood my post. I was saying the Spurs could move players to put themselves in a position to sign KD without sacrificing much. But they probably won't. I said nothing about players they've missed out on.
At this point, after Durant, I'm about ready to bow out of FA and plunder overseas as aggressively as possible.
These prices are incredible and the Spurs would be best served trying to gain talented Euros who want a taste of the Big Leagues.
You're right. My bad brother. All these posts and keeping up with what's going on got my brain in the blender, so to speak.
We at peace, for sure.
Yep, I remember Ian hanging out with Tim during the offseason

Just look at that giant mountain of failure on the far left. Yeah... you keep that chin up, Roy.
Who's that guy below splitter and why does splitter look beat up...
Anyways yeah, and the obvious reasons, we drafted him and maybe he has that prodigal son narrative, and the French connection, although we would have to trade Boris to make a deal work, right??
The Nets are setting the market for low-tier fliers at multiple millions of dollars. That's going to make it extremely difficult to for the Spurs to even get value there. We'll see what the Euros get, but it seems like the odds of picking up Bourousis on even a slightly risky contract are very long.
He might be plan z so watch yo mouf![]()

Memphis, meanwhile, only has an $8+ million chunk of cap space left but I'm told they're trying to make sufficient room to land Eric Gordon
