COT DAMN RIGHT, love it.
I cant get over this guy.
Who the f*ck does he think he is? LOL
Most delusional motherf*cker i've ever come across
So this is why Matt stayed. I think he wanted to try and cash in some extra money during this crazy free agency period.
Edit : I will fly to the US and personally drive him to Boston from San Antonio.
Just using the Celtics as leverage to get more than the vet min![]()
Coming Soon: The Decision 2 with Matt Bonner on ESPN. "I've decided to take my non-talents to..."
You know damn well it would be to re sign in SA for two more as well, unfortunately.
10 years?![]()
Hope the Red Re gets his Celtics wish.![]()
Hope he gets that opportunity. He's had a good career with us. Made some decent cash. He was a good guy and player, just over utilized at one point by pop.
This guy is smart. Milking the system with all these 1,400,900 contracts. He seems like the guy that lives on a 60,000 budget and saves or invests the rest. Probably has more than some better players.
To be fair, if I were to be playing in the NBA and I spent my career with, oh say the Knicks, Wizards, and Clippers, it would be really fun to end my career with a Spurs contract. All of these players have a childhood favorite team. Maybe I'm wrong for thinking that and when you reach the NBA you have to have a different mindset...
My sources said Spurs already confirmed with Bonner he won't be returning. So He's tryna put his bid in with his hometown.
RC gotta go "Make a Wish" on this. ASAP.
That is why I did not like him, him at starting C was a disaster but that is not his fault per say. That is on Pop for falling in love and over using this guy. He was a specialty player in the right match up, no more no less.
Not sure why he doesn't retire and work for the Spurs. I guess being at the end of the bench pays better.
Will take a second round pick for him Danny. MAKE IT WORK RC!
Everyone has already taken all the obvious punch lines - yeah, I was ready for Bonner to end his career somewhere else a few years ago.
I don't want to stir up a bunch of cultural bull here, but his comment is no surprise. Bonner never showed any interest in putting down roots here. Boston is perfect for him. People talk about him working for the Spurs' organization when he retires, but I think it's more likely he goes to work for the Players Association.
Using the Celtics as leverage to get a 4 year, 85 million dollar deal with SA
One of the luckiest souls on the planet. Laughin' all the way to the bank - millions for squat.
I guess because he's so damn lucky, he might as well try to dictate terms. Ya gotta admire the balls on this kid.
