    Is Ian still out there?
Yes. So is Biyombo. In fact, despite the day 1 frenzy, many guys are out there that I have not heard any news on. Ryan Anderson was rumored to be a hot commodity, for example. I think the Spurs plan to see who is available after the stoopid money is spent or be available as a third team facilitator. Personally, I like how things are shaking out. Everybody I thought we might have a legitimate shot at is still available.

Length of the meeting doesn't mean anything. Clippers was 4hrs because they're desperate.
Either that or they were waiting for Jordan to make a free throw.

Hope you are right. We need a big no matter what Tim does. I'd be interested in bring over Mulitinov if he's ready. (Though he's not on SL team).

Why even meet with other teams if you aren't going to leave OKC. Seems pointless to me.

I thought he was supposed to be on the Summer League team?

To see what's out there. Even if it's likely you know you want to stay, I think players have legit interests. It's like saying why not marry the first person you kind of like? Sure, you may like them a lot, but if you don't explore you may not know for sure.

Plus when you are as good as KD and sought after, things are different since you know you get max no matter where you go. Allows to get insight to things outside of your bubble to see if you are missing anything or can learn and bring back.

I want Terrance Jones on the team and slide Aldridge to the center position. Tough he would have to accept it, the center position isn't what it used to be in the NBA, there's no Shaq's out there anymore. Only thing that sucks are T Jones' injuries.

He's not on the roster. Neither is Bertans.

Despite a flurry of agreements (A.D.D thought mid-sentence wonder if we see any DeAndre Jordan moments this year) it's really normal for the "others" (Ryan Anderson, Biyombo, Barnes, etc..) to wait for the main FA shoe to drop (KD, Horford, Conley).

It's the norm. Once they decide all the money then flows to the "others".

Idk. It seems like a waste of time to me. He knows exactly what OKC can offer and what their future looks like. You either want to be there or you don't.

Double secret agent strategy to learn other team's plans.

Well, we just have to disagree. Normal people like you & I don't understand this because we aren't sought after by employers like this.

If you worked at Google, they paid you well and you loved it, but Apple, Amazon, etc..said let us talk to you, of course you would still do that even though you love your job at Google.

Indeed odd that Lakers preempted everyone with the Mosgov signing... what were they thinking?

At least Horford is deciding tonight meaning KD's speed dating is going to cost OKC a chance there. Also, I'm glad Atlanta signed Howard so quick. We get to see what he would look like in the Spurs system with none of the frustration or regret.

IMO, while I don't agree with the player, that is a sound strategy. If you know you don't get meetings with the Stars, thus not being subject to waiting on them, you go for the smaller targets you like to really give them the warm & fuzzies.

I agree, LA was likely bidding against themselves but I understand the logic.

I think we may end up with Gasol, which is okay by me for an interim fix - perhaps for Milutinov to get a little more seasoning. I was hoping for Ian a few weeks back, before day 1 shocked my eyes open. Cole Aldrich would not disappoint me. But I really expect the Spurs to wait until some of the current RFAs are renounced by teams that sign Durant, Horford et al, or those teams have to make some trades. We will possibly be in a position to oblige - for a price.

Lol. That got gonna turn us down again and ST is still blowing him.
If he was going to turn us down, he likely would've done so already. He's waiting for the Spurs to hear back on KD, and if the Spurs can offer a compe ive salary I'm assuming he ends up here.

Yeah, I understand the "trickle down" effect, but no news of teams' interest or meetings with some of the next tier players seems a little unexpected to me.
