I think they want him long term, maybe they are considering moving Vucivic

Would have been a huge upgrade over Mills but the Spurs are more fitting square pegs into round holes rather than addressing team needs. Smith was an absolute steal at that price.
Orlando is going to be goood. Those 2 guys at the 4 or 5. No one is going is going to the paint. now positions 1-3 who knows....who are they?
boston and washington frontrunners for horford... would rather him go to the wizards. doesn't really matter to me though.
Orlando should be looking to trade Vucevic while he still has value, regardless, he's pretty overrated IMO..
Atlanta moving Millsap to keep Horford would be ridiculous..the latter is significantly better, especially in today's league..

If Hawks can find a team to take Splitter + Hardaway Jr. w/o salary back - enough room to keep Horford
What's the book on Hardaway Jr?
Not sure what is going on in Orlando but I read they are looking to keep Vucevic and trade.... A Gordon. Wth? Can Spurs please get in on their fire sale of youth?
Think I am in camp Mahinmi much improved player, his numbers last season were solid.
16.6 P.E.R
+14 Net Rtg
100 Def Rtg
.163 Win shares per 48 minutes.
9 ppg, 7 rpg, 1 bpg, 1 spg, and 59% from the field.
his FT% needs work, hopefully Chip can help get him up to 70% he is only shooting 58%.
Issue is he likely wants a long term deal, Spurs want to keep cap flex but adding him on a 4 year, 50 million makes some sense. I had the Spurs at around $30 million in cap next season if Diaw is cut a deal with Ian that would trim that to about $18 million if my math is correct.
Good shooter. Would be a possible upgrade over Simmons, but I can't tell you for sure. I have seen much more of J.Simms than I have seen of Hardaway Jr. but one thing is evident Hardaway is a much better and willing shooter, Simmons prefers to get to the basket. Hardaway Jr. was 43 in SG in RPM, Simmons was 71. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rp...RPM/position/2
So Brandon Jennings is done in Orlando? How much is a guy like him going to make?
Mahinmi's free throw % has fluctuated in a wide range for his career,
, his rookie year in the d-league he shot 77% on 6 attempts a game, with a higher season total than any of his NBA years.
In a market that gave Bayless 9m/year and Augustin almost 8m, I'd say that 10m+ is a safe bet.
Yeah he'll probably sign with a low tier team that'll give him playing time (Sixers?). He'll probably sign a one year deal in order to prove himself again to the league so he could get paid next year when cap goes up again.
I wouldn't mind having Splitter back but I heard that he could miss training camp following that surgery. If Splitter can play 20-25 minutes similar to his first time around, I take him if TD retires and the Spurs strike out on other bigs.
He is not a very good shooter, a career 35% 3pt shooter and shot 34% last season.
