I realize this is pounding the as y'all like to say but I thought it was an interesting metric to use and evaluate. I think most of the results were expected as far as Kawhi being the Spurs most productive player and Parker being the least productive (at least using this metric) but it looks like some of the player biases prevalent in this forum might be unwarranted.
What wasn't expected? David West being so productive. Kyle Anderson, the forum whipping boy, looks like he held his own. I'd like to hear how the anti-Slo Mo faction can continue the "he's the worst Spur narrative" based on this metric.
We all knew Aldridge got off to a slow start, but right there with Parker as far as not playing up to his contract? I would've never guessed it was that bad.
Also, as much negativity as I direct towards Ginobili, which all started with the 2013 Finals, like many Manu supporters have stated, he's easily worth his contract and then some.
Finally, I can understand why Green is up there, even if his offense is sporadic, his defense is still some of the best in the league...but Mills? It seemed like he had a down year so his ranking doesn't add up, I guess some would say like Anderson's.
Kyle deserves $25,000 per year. And that's being kind. I still can't get over his pathetic okc performance (leaving corner 3 guy alone)
Dude was arms reach from a rebound and still couldn't react quick enough.![]()
Aldridge is getting used to the system, he will be better. Bobo is fat and uninterested and I hope he gets traded. Parker is broken. Still, his 2014/15 season was much worse. Somehow.
Thanks for reminding me. Just threw up.![]()
I'm pissed that Mills has only now decided to get in shape. Where was this dedication at the beginning of last summer? He had much more time to prepare after an embarrassing first round loss to the Clippers. Now the Olympics are here and he's in a contract year. That screams selfish. Thanks for letting Tim and your teammates down. Same with Boris only Boris doesn't get in shape for anyone.
Kawhis 32.7 million value produced is LeBron-like money. Kawhi is no LeBron. Heck. Jefferson did more for Cavs in Finals than Kawhi against OKC. I guess playoff performance weren't taken into account into these evaluations.
.750TS% in that series. Go yourself. Seriously.![]()
First of all, I was talking about the team's embarrassing loss in the 1st round. Secondly, Mills couldn't get quality minutes because he was being torched on defense. Third, your takes are trash even for a giggling got.
.260WS/48.
Yeah historically bad Porker was a better fit.![]()
Some of these takes I just don't understand.![]()
Anderson is only a whipping boy for a few very noisy and relentless trolls. They won't change their mind and who cares about their ignorance?
Here are some numbers on kyle
2.2 points per game in the playoffs.
4.5 points per game in the regular season.
I don't think it's trolls, the guy is flat out atrocious. I mean, I'd pick him first if I were playing my buddies at the park but that's about it.
It's a pretty arbitrary way of looking at things... If a contract is low and the player's performance is extremely average, his "value produced" is a net positive, even though he may have very little to do with the ultimate outcome of games. Aldridge's play in the last two months was vastly superior to his play in the first two, so I don't think the overall numbers mean too much.
We don't like to say it. It's just true.
Dabom can point out whatever stats he wants. The fact that he is in better shape this year means that he wasn't in top shape last season. And last season was supposed to be the all-or-nothing, put it all on the line, and win #6 for Tim season. He wasn't in as bad of shape as that fat Diaw, but maybe if he had been a little stronger and lighter he wouldn't have had a TOV% of 12.2 in the playoffs. And maybe he could have gotten the ball inside more, and not had to shoot 68% of his shots from outside the 3P line.
He hurt his shoulder, and had to sign a cheaper contract than he wanted, because a lot of teams weren't rushing to take the risk on him. And people have been commenting ever since that he hasn't been the same since the shoulder injury. The fact that he's suddenly in much better shape ahead of this, his next contract year? Yeah... coincidence.
anderson, like boris, west, kl lma in the 4th, blew in the playoffs as bad as kevin martin
I don't consider you a troll, don't throw your lot with the real ones lol
It is very average... but Tony produced a 6 mill value... he wasn't even among the top value producers in the team... by any measure. Kyle produced more value in less time and smaller role, so did Manu, Patty and a few others.
I most definitely think Patty has that contract in mind, so does J.Simms. Let's hope it pays off this season.
I don't trust any evaluation that has David West as our second best anything tbh
