Hard to believe, but what would you think about a Kawhi/Millsap/Aldridge front line?

A Millsap & Kawhi pairing would be the most versatile forward combo in the NBA.

Hawks can get a lot more value for Milsap elsewhere than the Spurs sadly...

It won't happen but a lineup of Danny/Kawhi/Milsap/LMA would be a terror defensively....not even Porky could f that up tbh....

We'd almost definitely have to lose Green to get Millsap, unfortunately...

I think if they traded Diaw & Green for draft picks, taking back no salary, the numbers would work.

He's almost exactly the same height & length as Draymond Green.

Unfortunately Hawks need team with caps pace to absorb salary with no requirement to add salary

It's uncanny how similar Millsap & Draymond Green are:

    Millsap:
    Height: 6'7.25"
    Wingspan: 7'1.25"
    Standing reach: 8'9.5"

    Green:
    Height: 6'7.5"
    Wingspan: 7'1.25"
    Standing reach: 8'9"

Milsap would be a huge upgrade on the bench over West and Diaw but his salary is like $20 million. No way the Spurs can clear that much especially since they didn't waive Diaw and Duncan opted in. It would take salary dumping Green to absorb Milsap's contract. Probably not worth it since it will create a hole at SG (especially if Manu retires) and limit the Spurs from signing any other FA other than through the vet min or exceptions.

Looking at another player... maybe the Hawks would want to trade Splitter back The Spurs might have the space for that.

Spurs could dump Diaw and Anderson, play do the renouncing thing, they can absorb Millsap's 20 million

I would have preferred Millsap over Aldridge if this was last year...

Millsap will most likely end up in Boston if the Hawks re-sign Horford. (Bud is probably trying to cuck Ainge into giving up picks by choosing Horford over Millsap when the latter is the better player)

I have to wonder at Atlanta's moves... Horford & Millsap both have the reputations of being smart, serious players... one report said Horford wasn't happy with the Howard signing, but who knows if that's true... either way, it seems like the franchise is moving in a very different direction suddenly.

Aside from Kawhi, LeBron, and Draymond, there are few players in the entire league likely to make their influence known in 4 or more statistical categories in a game... I watched Millsap all season and was amazed by the number of games where he ac ulated significant points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in a single game... he's just one of those smart players who can help you win in so many different ways.

Giannis is moving in that direction too, which is why he'll get the max next year...

With Horford leaving, I'd imagine the Hawks hold onto Millsap. They also probably won't dump Splitter just for cap space, which is unfortunate because it would have been a decent use of the Spurs' cap space, especially if it came with a pick, even a second-rounder.
