I was rooting for Portland to sign him so we could scoop up their "leavins".
I think Timmy retiring just changed the entire panorama. In the perimeter our hope everyone knows who they are.... Bertans should help too. We might be surprisingly good. I want to be optimistic. Our young guys are better than the expensive crapshoot available in FA at this point.

If Duncan is gone then get rid of Parker and Green. Start over. No Duncan, why keep Tony around. en Tim I can't believe this is it.

    Gasol
    Aldridge
    Leonard
    Wade
    Any ing PG's left?

Nice, decent move, but bittersweet with Tim's retirement(which was probably a selling point for Gasol)..
Basically, dude wasn't budging until Tim made his move.

    So we're stuck with Parker?

Spurs still don't have a closer.

Gasol is an upgrade over Duncan, no doubt, he isn't much worse on D and is definitely better on offense, but the rest of the roster is gong to be virtually the same(may even be worse if they lose Diaw or Mills)..

They'll probably be the same team as last season, while the Warriors improved..
Can't be helped when we got scorned. We could have lost Tim and not have Pau. Being about the same still makes for an enjoyable team to watch. OKC fans for example are probably in mourning. For us to lose Tim and just be nostalgic, that's something I am happy about.... that we aren't much worse.

Tbh Boris had this coming. er just isn't serious about basketball.
This. He was settled with 2014, and after reading Manu's new article seems like he is too.

After they waive Tim's contract, Spurs should have enough money to pay Gasol and bring back Boban.

Well the Spurs aren't going to win a le with Durant to GSW, but I have to say it's pretty ing nice that they should be a compe ive team. If you would have asked me a few years ago I would have figured the San Antonio would have been tank city once Tim retired.

Yep Gasol/Aldridge is a decent trade off for Tim.

    Gasol
    Aldridge
    Leonard
    Wade

Rondo? Williams? The remaining PG's left are ! Unless we can somehow spring a trade for a good PG. It looks like Parker may be back. On the other hand Wade can en do it all, he is a en monster, hand him the PG duties.

    Gasol
    Aldridge
    Leonard
    Green
    Wade

    Parker and Manu 6th men

    Is that possible?

    According to this thread no
The Spurs will get his Bird Rights in a sign and trade, they'll probably give Chicago a second round pick. If that wasn't allowed Cleveland would have lost LeBron last year.

I like this move but for some weird reason I hate giving up Boris despite him sucking last year. I guess I kind of hoped he would get it together during the off-season and regain his 2014 form.

Despite Boris' play last year, he was important against GS. I wonder who our back up PF will be?

Wade is a 20m a year player, how do you expect Spurs to do that?? They'd have to trade Parker and Green to have room and we know that's not happening

Not sure but maybe the team can trade Tim's contract to open up more space?
They could dump his salary on the Sixers who need a LOT of help to get to the salary floor.

Why do you keep mentioning Wade? Spurs have already made it clear that they have no intention of offering anything to him. Do you understand our current $$ situation?

For the Spurs to complete the Gasol signing, they're working on a trade to move Boris Diaw, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Bobo coasted long enough. To be fair to Spurs they gave him plenty of chances and held on to him as long as they could.
Timmy retiring made it necessary to get Paul, and I don't think Pop trusts Bobo as much as he used to.

That said he was absolutely enjoyable to watch when he was engaged and he helped us to 2014. Thanks Bobo.
