Just like we should have cancelled the playoffs, right?
    Exactly.
2017 playoffs could actually now be a sweeter exit for Golden then getting LeBronzed.

Non-issue, they lost Bogut and they're lack of rim protection will be exposed again just like in the finals when bogut went down.

Maybe they'll make a trade for a rim protector somewhere down the line but at that point they'd be sacrificing more depth.

Nonetheless they're probably still ill the favorites to come out the west.

This is actually what I was hoping for. Curry and Durant are not mature enough to share the ball. Both will hog the spotlight. Curry is not getting 30 shots per game anymore and he won't like this. It's one thing for LeBron/Wade/Bosh to give up being the star to share the ball, but I don't see Curry and Durant doing this.

Yeah, GS is such a threat because because Durant and Curry have so many championship rings (1).

This is worse than LeBron's decision because that Cavs team was just winning because of James. Durant left a team in OKC that had a legit shot to win it all, so by joining the Warriors he proves he wants an easy path to a potential NBA le. If he wins one with the Warriors, odds are it won't be as sweet as if he won one with the Thunder. If he is getting any hate for choosing the Warriors, he deserves it.

Some players don't give a about winning. Durant is a shoe endorsement contract masquerading as a top five player

    That's the best path.

Some players don't give a about winning.
But in this case, it's only about winning. KD could have made more after-tax money with the Heat or Spurs or even Thunder, and he clearly doesn't care about media narratives like it being a weak move. He wants to win and he made the best move possible for that.

Actually he wants to get paid the max salary, then win no matter what. I guess he could have signed with GS for the minimum. But he was obviously going to get the max no matter what.

i think it's really exciting. it also makes the lakers that much dumber for blowing their load on mozgov, that scrub and deng. They could have gotten ezeli and barnes...
    Barnes for 94 million?
    No thanks.
I would take Fezili at Mozgof's salary though ...

David West to GS for league minimum confirmed.

I thought you were kidding but obviously not.

If we could have just gotten Diaw over there as well.
