I think simmons and Anderson have looked good in the first summer league game. So many over critical couldn't make it themselves hacks here. We have no bigs either in this game.

I wanted to see either of those guys looking like they have a season or two in the NBA under their belts. You know, actually standing out from this crud of D-Leaguers. There's no such thing here, unfortunately. They might score 20, but because they're the go to guys, not because they're dominating. I didn't expect either to look like Kawhi in his summer league, but more than just same old same old. Kyle looks different physically and that's it. He's the least of my worried though, since he'll be parked behind Kawhi anyways.

The Spurs will have to look somewhere else if they want to have a compe ive bench this season. Like I said, I hope Murray stands out, maybe Cady has taken a step forward. Otherwise, if Boris is really gone, it's gonna be problematic.

You will be disappointed then. Not just in these two. As soon as you see Cady or Murray. Murray was wildly inefficient and was absolutely ghastly on defense... his team didn't make it into the NCAA tournament and he was a good reason for that. He was drafted on potential and that is it. He needs at least a season and I am generous. Cady I haven't seen I kind of am disappointed in that, but Anderson is a better player than him and you don't like Anderson, so I predict a bunch of disappointment for you.

The Spurs should guarantee as much of the first season of Forbes' contract that it takes to bring him into camp. If he doesn't make it, you eat the money. But he has a skill-set the team desperately needs to develop.

Possibly. I'll give them some more slack than Simms or Kyle since they haven't been part of an NBA roster yet. But it's not about individuals, it's about the Spurs. Like it or not, with guys like Tony or Gasol on the team, and especially since Pop likes to rest even young guys, we need talent off the bench. The days where Gino would basically be the bench are over, and at least in the case of Kyle/Simms, they're not ready yet, IMO. It's early, but I didn't like what I saw so far.

And yeah, they're going to score. They took 50% of the team shots.

Agreed. We need shooters. It's just one game, and against a team that only had 1 semi-NBA guy out there, but if his shooting holds, he'll be a good grab.
