ing depressing ..
Tim had fun and made great memories. Its his life, let him live it. You dont have to retire on top, it very rarely happens.
Damn. He's going to enter the HOF with Kobe.
Timmy, thank you for all the years of basketball excellence!
Duncan ruleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssss sssssssssssssssssssss
DUNCAN WILL ALWAYS BE OUR NUMBER ONE!
The only thing that bothers me lol
Yeah, this irks me as well. Really hope he comes back, that way Timmy and Manu can enter the HoF together.
Stop pretending with that vanilla , lol had fun great memories, you sound like a g... Timmy would have die to erase the humiliating last season from his career and to save so pathetic and underachiever last two season, when pop and the team wasted him and his health for nothing being so soft and naive trying to compete...

Fitting. Lots of respect there and great rivals..
Dirk should retire, too. All three of them at once.
NBATV just had a nice segment on Timmy.
Now back to your regularly scheduled GS knob-slobbing lovefest.
Just saw it. They mentioned a fact that I didn't know about Duncan which was he has the most all-nba defensive team selections in NBA history.
I didn't know that, either. Pretty damn impressive.
Saw that also. Nice look back at his career and achievements. Almost brought some tears out tbh.
Im 24 years old so I've watched and rooted for this man basically my entire life. He's a legend, a GOAT , he deserves respect and praise from ALL basketball fans tbh.
Everything after '00 was gravy. Any kind of normal superstar would've bolted when he had the chance.
Biased? I am, but definitely top ten, if not top five all-time. Had he played for the Celtics, Lakers, or Knicks there'd be a movement to rename the game after him.
it, see if Kobe wants to hold off retirement for one more year and have a shot at the Warriors with both TD and himself off the bench.
In my eyes they are only two players who had better careers than him which is Jordan and Jabbar.
Because now they will get inducted in the same year and it will be the Kobe circus on induction night and Duncan will be a footnote. Duncan had a better career and deserves an entire night without that attention rapist ing it up.
As I've said before, I think Tim got himself into the top 5 in 2013 as he would have been the finals MVP had his teammates not choked it away for him while he had to sit on the bench and watch it. 2014, he made sure he was no doubt that he's in the top 5, and then in 2015 going against two super athletic bigs and being the Spurs' best player made sure he stays there. Most fans of other teams probably won't agree though, and that pisses me off as TD was that good.
I wanted to try and get one more Championship for him so that it would be more universally recognized by fans of other teams that he was a top 5 player. I didn't care about winning a 6th for myself as a fan or the Spurs organization, I wanted it for Tim so that more fans could recognize just how great he was. It was all for Tim. Actually the last two I just wanted for Tim, and really, really wanted to try and get one more so that he got the universal respect that he deserved.
Tim turned down the original "staked" team to stay with the Spurs.
Shut the up, man.
The guy helped the team win 5 championships, which is more than the 0 they had before he arrived, so if wanted to continue to play (win or lose) that's his choice.
Tim's stats are way too pedestrian for him to be in top 5 all time.
19 ppg
11 rebounds
3 assists
2 blocks
In a few years, people won't even have him in their Top 10s.
Duncan doesn't care about any of the celebrity worshiping stuff. He'll give a brief speech, say "thank you" and be out.
Leave all the pomp and cir stance for the other guys.
