Well, with Durant leaving OKC, Spurs only have to worry about one team rather than two!
Lebron took the pressure off in some eyes by doing it first. Maybe KD sees it that way. Pathetic and a massive move. Some people I guess think winning a ring regardless of cir stance is all that matters.

the NBA will be out of business in 3-4 years...
This Warriors team is made up of a group of guys that the folks in San Francisco are really going to *ahem* "get behind." Here are some early photos from their inevitable Championship parade.![]()
True. Back in the 80s joining the team which just punked you in the playoffs would've been unheard of. Actually, up until rather recently.
Thinking about championship teams, typically there's maybe two stars and some key role players. The dynamic for GS will be to figure out how Thompson and Durant co-exist. After the last playoffs I'd be reticent to take the ball out of Thompson's hands.
That is, Durant is an upgrade over Iguodala, but his optimal game is to be in Thompson's role. Losing guys like Barnes and Bogut will hurt them.
I think the real value for GS in this move is weakening a rival.

Stephen A ranting via Facebook earlier, yikes
Never will a team have such high expectations. Should be entertaining.
Ilyasova hasn't played SF since his rookie season, he's way too slow to play there.
Warriors will sign two $200 mil contracts next summer![]()
Never agreed with him more 'weakest move ever by a superstar.' He took superstar money from OKC for years and jumps ship when he chokes away a 3-1 lead in the WCF. Yes that's weak bull and SAS is dead-on. This exactly what I would expect from Durant. He is the anti-Tim Duncan.
3 guys who need and want shots and only 1 basketball. Great potential but great potential to implode also. Just say we match up against GS in the playoffs, we have 2 wing defenders in Green and Kawhi, who'll guard the one guy left over?
I especially hated that cHeat team. Such a weak move. Now I hate the Warriors just as much.
Yup. The rivalry between Magic and Bird is a perfect example of why this feels wrong - those guys thirsted for the rivalry, whereas the new NBA effectively has no meaningful, long-lasting rivalries because the best players just move to their rivals. Ugh.
LeBron's cHeat move opened the psychological door for this bull , then the unprecedented cap e facilitated it. Makes me sick tbh.
You know, BG and DPG21920, you are right. My mistake. He's been playing PF much more the last few years.
Wait until Klay realizes he's going to get traded for parts to make this work.
Well...it gets interesting already.
I like this move for the Spurs. It eliminates one of the two teams clearly standing in our way from making the Finals. Now it's just GSW with an honorable mention to the Clippers. I don't know that the Warriors improved their team nearly as much as OKC just got worse. No Ibaka, and now no KD? The West is now a two horse race.
Too soon for the T-pups and Coach Thibs to get any love?
Everyone hating on KD for his decision, I hope you watch/listen to Mike Golic on "Mike and Mike" put all the haters in their place.
Lol, what a trash show.
They'll be compe ive...but yeah, too early to tell. Likely the 4-6 seed in this top heavy league.
I still side with what SAS said honestly. I have never seen a top 3 player leave to go to the team that beat them when it was basically their fault for them not winning in the first place. OKC was not a scrub team, but a very nice and upcoming playoff team who looked to have turned a corner in getting back to the finals. Up 3-1.... what happened to KD and getting them to win 1 game? Oh yeah, he choked up and then quit and joined GS. Weak move.
From my view, Bogut was a huge rim protector for their defense...when he was healthy. The Warriors will be great but not sure yet about their interior D. Their new pieces will fill have to fill that need. Offensively, what a powerhouse!
For those who call Kevin Durant "Dominos", you will love this ESPN article le. How did they know?![]()
