He didn't look done vs OKC, I think he has another season in him. I just think he is probably sick of the NBA grind after almost 2 decades of it and just wants to do other things for a change. I hope he plays next season and doesn't hang up the jersey.
I feel like there's a 90% chance Tim is retiring, he is definetly not playing two more years and if he decides to come back it will be like the farewell tour that he has been trying to avoid.
If he's retiring, why hasn't he said it yet? Why wait at this point?
Because he's not completely sure yet? Once he says he's retiring, there's no going back (well there is, but Tim doesn't seem like the type to announce he's retiring and then go back on it). He wants to make sure he's 100% sure he's finished with basketball before announcing anything.

I understand he's probably not sure yet, it just seems that maybe the Spurs have another plan that he's already aware of Which is why we haven't heard it yet? Pure speculation on my part. Since June 29th, it just seems that he would know by now. However, Tim can do whatever he wants.
Well conceived. Once I see all of those unbelievable players' names in a a list, I start to shrink away from the task of listing the all-timers. I think I like both Oscar and Lebron more and Shaq less than you. I think DAvid Robinson might make my list over Moses Malone... Seeing the list also begs the question of criteria. Longevity and career stats are determinative of "greatest" in almost all lists. There are some guys who, for one reason or another (mostly injury), did not enjoy long NBA careers but were, nonetheless, great. No real way to come up with a list that would acknowledge some greats. Names like Arvydas Sabonis and Connie Hawkins come to mind. Personally, I will always think of Spencer Haywood as a "great". His performance in the 1960 Olympics was spectacular. He came out of nowhere and really captivated me (and many others). His story alone causes me to be pretty indifferent about Professional Olympic basketball as it has become. He played for a mediocre Seattle team when communications were not what they are today and the greatness of his younger days is pretty much unknown. Pete Maravich was Steph Curry before the 3-ball was adopted by the NBA. There are some guys like that who had talent that would place them among the greats - just not the career stats to earn that level of acknowledgment. An All-time Imaginary Playground list would be highly subjective, but lots of fun.

If Duncan comes back, he'll have a role off the bench. Don't think Gasol would have signed here unless Pop promised him the starting spot.
Honestly if the corpse of Kevin Garnett is still in the league, Duncan can still make an impact.

actually despite the difference in salaries, I would have Pau off the bench, because our bench will definitely need scoring if Bobo is traded. The starting 5 might have enough points but we need a dependable scorer off the bench. TD, KL and Verde's defense to go with LMA, KL and TP's offense.
As for top 15 there seems to be a consensus on the players just not the order. For me Kareem is #1 and I always lean Wilt over Russell otherwise both lists look golden.
Doing so while Kevin Durant is the story would be a move, like Phil Jackson making an announcement during the Spurs parade. It's bad enough that he has to make a press release, but he's not going to step on someone else's toes to do it.
Pau didn't come to the Spurs to come off the bench.

Pop cut short his minutes to extend his career. If another coach had played him into the ground, he'd have retired at 36 averaging 20+ points on his career and 12+ rebounds, and one less le.
