Simply put:::
Kobe: 5
the tired old bag Duncan: 2nd 5th
James: 4
Is he the GOAT? Despite 3 finals losses
Does he surpass MJ?

Kawhi will beat them all and surpass kobe in the alltime great this season.
With one good year, Kawhi will surpass LeBron's entire career?
You're a moron
Two of LeBron's losses in the finals are completely meaningless.
In 2007, it was him and 4 starters who were all bench players. Plus Larry Hughes was playing hurt. No way that team was gonna beat Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Bowen, Barry, etc...
Last year, He went up against G.S. with two of his starters not playing due to injury.
Btw, he has 4 loses in the finals, not 3: 2 againt the Spurs, one against Dallas, & one against G.S.
You're so emo![]()
I didnt count the 07' loss
But yes you could argue, lebron's only legit losses in the finals was '11 vs the Mavs and '14
IMO if lebron pulls this off, the conversation/Lebron vs MJ debate is gonna be very interesting and IMO will actually be warranted for once
MJ never had to beat a team in the finals that was clearly better than his, or had 16 more regular season wins than his team. But, yeah, it's hard to argue a perfect 6-0 in the finals.
i agree
It's not controversial if you assume kawhi will remain good throughout his prime. He only needs one non Duncan le to show he's an all time great
No. He could have if he stayed in college and matured his game before going to the NBA, but he didn't.
he doesn't even need that, just 7 years of being a constant DPOY candidate/winner and two les will be more than enough. He can retire when he's 30 and he'll already be far ahead of kirby.
LeBron is already the GOAT. Kareem and Timmy are also way better than that chucker DK, real talk.
We've had this discussion. Kobe is retired. I don't see MJ listed in there.
Doesn't matter how many les LeBron or anyone else wins, there are going to be a lot of people out there who will have MJ at #1 no matter what and nothing will change their mind. MJ as GOAT has pretty much been cast in stone.
That's your end.
Did you just say Tim is greater than Jordan?!!!
LEbron may someday get there ...but no one else is close except maybe Jabbar
I love LeBron, but there have been a few times in the past when he has looked defeated on the court-- that's something I never saw from MJ. MJ's drive was more pathological, reaching some kind of irrational levels that most people simply don't ever attain, or even aspire to. LeBron's easily the more likeable guy, more personable & human.
Regardless, LeBron is firmly in the pantheon of all time greats. His performances in games 5,6,& 7 against Golden State (a clearly better team) are already legendary, and will stay that way forever.
The Summer of Tully courses on.
Keep dragging your dead corpse of a retired player into the discussions if it suits you.
Guess you didn't look hard enough, because the Pistons used to make DK cry like a . Nothing says "defeat" quite like going to the commissioner of the league and begging him to change the rules to make it easier for you to win.
