I think AD was the starter early on, not TP.
He looks better than Simmons already.

Speights to LAC for the min. Gotta say, if that's all it took, I might would've preferred to Denmon on the RE 1+1.
We are loosing 3 PF - Diaw/West/Bonner. To me we have no one in the pipe line that can come close to these guys and I don't even see a decent PF on our summer league team.
Wouldn't mind picking up Woods. Think he's available.
Yep, the guy is 19 and just played his first compe ive game in over 3 months, looked pretty good, and people . We historically do a great job at developing players and we have a kid with a lot of potential. Just sit back and enjoy watching him develope.
Really? Have to disagree with you on that one. Considering the other guys on the roster, I think an interior presence like Dedmon is much more preferable to Speights. Dedmon's rim protection and rebounding is much needed for a bench unit that could very well end up having KA play at the 4.
Besides, I've always thought Speights was quite overrated. He has his moments (and it was interesting to see him add a 3-point shot to his game last season), but in general he's not a very good player. He's been a net negative for GS these past couple of years IMO.
If we got Speights for the minimum, who would you want to get for the RE?
The starting pg will be our demise.

I wish Spurs could trade for his rights since 76ers have Simmons.

I agree... rim protector is definitely more in need than another scorer off the bench.
Dario's decision may have less to do with money than NBA destination. If you were one of the best Euros would you want to join a team in disarray without ANY proven leadership that just selected Ben Simmons in the draft?
It might be but Spurs can't afford him this year anyways if we could get him. Next year, he definitely will get a pay day so it makes sense for him to wait another year.
As a first round pick, isn't his salary slotted?
I like that.
KA is the Diaw replacement. And he should be just fine.
Not after this season.
Not after that third year...
Thanks. Frankly I didn't recall when he was drafted. Good to know. He actually has zero incentive to join the Sixers this season.

Yikes.
Pretty much. Check out the link I included with my initial post.
I already did. Thanks. That's why I entered the conversation.
Clippers sign big man Marreese Speights to one-year-deal
The Clippers added some championship pedigree to their bench Friday, agreeing with free agent Marreese Speights on a one-year deal to be their backup big man for the veteran’s minimum salary. Speights, who can play center and power forward, won a le with the Golden State Warriors in 2015 and was one victory away from a repeat last month before the Cleveland Cavaliers’ epic comeback from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. Playing for the Warriors also made Speights something of an arch-rival of the Clippers, though the tenor of the rivalry had gone from revulsion to resignation. Golden State won seven of the last eight meetings between the teams after the Clippers defeated the Warriors in the first round of the 2014 playoffs. ...
