Looking forward to seeing Ingram vs Simmons. Ingram is a much better defender than I thought. His wingspan is sick. He needs to gain 25-30lbs though.

Are you usually this emotional about a prediction?

What's so empowering about it? Do you even know what it means. I never said he'll make the All Star team

he still needs a lot of work, he bulked up a bit and he was posting guards last night with ease but he's a lot more confident this year that's for sure.

I think he'll have a very good sop re season but nowhere near an all star caliber season, fwiw.

Was watching Simmons the other day. Didn't look like he could finish at the basket. Had to rely on getting fouled.

    Recent scout on him

You see him troubleshooting how to be a scorer. He gets to the basket but doesn't seem have a plan when he gets there. He's also getting accustomed to playing again (hadn't played much for about three months) and learning that even summer league pros have consistent quickness and length he didn't see at LSU. His jumper looks smooth, though he's indecisive about taking it. The lefty tried a couple of right-handed runners in traffic, though none found the mark. He doesn't take many shots in a crowd. In general, scoring is a work in progress.

I understand being cautious but Russell will be the lead guard for the Lakers. His usage will increase and he's finally going to run a system that gives the ball up more rapidly. The Lakers ranked 29th in offensive efficiency, I won't be surprised if they drop to 15th under Walton's free flowing scheme.

I read that he was 6'2" as a HS Freshman then had a 7" growth spurt. So he's comfortable handling the rock. I don't expect CP0 type handles, but he should be able to bring the ball up the court and facilitate a li'l bit.

What you think of Zubac? I read a lot of M. Gasol comparisons, he looks legit tbh.

I like him, but I need to see him play against real NBA bigs. Those players last night will be lucky to make the practice squad somewhere.

I want to see him vs. Adams' length/size, or take an elbow by Dwert, or go against Anthony Davis' athleticism, or LMA's versatility. I want to see him in P&R having to guard Steph, or CP0, or Lillard in a pinch. How will he react to these situations that will inevitably occur?

His low post defense looks legit, but what about his perimeter D? This will determine how much PT he gets. Luke likes to switch everything on D.

He's only 19 and already has a good base, but he's a rook and will go through growing pains. Lots of Laker Fans are already comparing him to a young Marc Gasol. I'm just hoping he grows into a player. I like what I am seeing though.
