Sources on @TheVertical: All-Star James Harden has agreed to a 4-year, $118M contract renegotiation that takes him through 2020 in Houston.
I would hate hate hate to lose Green, but that's tempting IMO. I'm sure someone will come in and quash it all with numbers and such.
I look forward to a more thorough analysis of this scenario.

Is this an extension? I may be completely off base here, but I thought the CB didn't allow for existing contracts to be renegotiated?
Jesse Beer @TheJesseBeer
@EricPincus can any player do a renegotiation?

No - I list the players eligible - short list - need to be on at least a 4-year contract http://www.basketballinsiders.com/utah-jazz-should-restructure-derrick-favors-contract/ …
Can be renegotiated three years after signing (so four year deals only). Probably something the players union got in negotiations - teams are more likely to give the fourth year if it means they'll have a chance to renegotiate.
Didn't know that. Thanks for the clarification!![]()
It's actually not a new provision in the CBA, just something that was extremely rare because the conditions that would allow it almost never happened. The bizarre cir stance of this huge one year e in the salary cap made more players eligible. Even so, there was hardly a rush to employ it.
I've never had a problem with Simmons and I think he is young. My definition of young means the player is from there physical prime or younger.
Goddamnit, getting Sanders, although rusty and a former headcase, could end up working for the Dubs big time even in a limited role. ing assholes.
I dunno, I have a feeling there'll be some weird locker room stuff going on with that team.
this is the reason to sign West
He might be trolling because the next picture he posted was cavalier in a red coatdude hasnt even played in awhile and doesnt give a about basketball, doubt this would be an earth shaking pick up
He's joking around it seems. Also posted a pic of a Cavalier haha.
Who looks like a surly malcontent. Think he'll get along with the pseudo-religious, self-loving twinks at the head of the team?
The 2016-2017 Warriors turning into the 2013-2014 Denver Broncos. At first they were a mix of both teams, but now they are drawing more comparisons to that team. Signed their Peyton Manning (Kevin Durant), already have their other Peyton Manning (Curry), have mvps, offensive records that will be broken, regular season dominance, people/media calling them unstoppable/unbeatable, players wanting to join them, etc etc. You literally can't tell these teams apart other than it being a different sport.
If sanders gets off the pot, big if he could be a steal.
Lakers gonna give him the max now.
Bet this does a lot for team morale. Feel bad for Rocket fans.
Warriors signing Larry Sanders when California voters are about to legalize recreational use of marijuana in November would be perfect.![]()
