Not a damn thing. I love Manu but who cares. His legacy is sealed.
Keep in mind Manu has a Gold to Duncan's Bronze despite playing on a far inferior team.
I could see Duncan's retirement motivating Manu this year.
- Truth is all the trolling aside cannot put away my respect for Tim Duncan. Thanks for the memories.

Idiotic post, it would mean one more ring.
Manu would never surpass duncan even if he won 5 more rings.
Even if he won 7 rings, he wouldn't. Though he does kind of already have 5 given an Olympic win for a non-USA team.
Though unlike Kobe, he was actually the best player on his team for at least one Finals (2005).
ing player fans.
Manure fans are the worst
Yeah, just one more ring.
If, by some miracle, the Spurs were to ring this season, does anybody believe it would be due to Manu's making a huge contribution?
It would mean Kawhi learned to be more aggressive, LMA stepped up big when I mattered, and Pau had a great year for a 38/39 year old.
Not to be a downer but does anyone really think ANY franchise can win a le the year after losing the greatest player of a generation? It's not like they lost a chucker and questionable leader like Kobe. The Spurs just lost Tim Duncan. Next year is gonna be rough.
Nothing, why you post that? Today is about Duncan, who cares Manu or Parker getting more rings?
Nothing really. Rings dont add much to a legacy when you have 3 or more and you're not one of the main guys anymore
Duncanīs posts and Duncanīs day.
No. I don't expect Manu to be huge in the playoffs. Maybe I am underselling him but I don't expect a Timmy 2015 Clippers series performance out if him. I thought of anything, this season he needed to have it bc the bench, as Pop structured it, with the players he chose, needed Manu to have a few big games in the playoffs. He's a passer at this point and a 3 pt shooter. The most valuable asset is his leadership in mentoring our NGS. If they don't get it done themselves, Manu won't turn the tide. I do think he has a few big shots left in him, if he's allowed to play off other ppl and not being the man.
OP is one of the best posters on ST, tbh![]()
I'm sure Dudu boy would cream his hands over and over again with stats.
It would be huge, beating a team like gsw but truth is our bench will be our demise. We have no bench. The 2nd unit is : manu, kyle, patty, simmons and bertans or Orlando dude. Manu and patty aside, that is an atrocious bench.
Manu's legacy is set as far as I'm concerned. If he does anything extraordinary this year it'll be nice, but as a Euro champ, Euro MVP, Olympic champ, and four time NBA champ, his legacy is complete.
Manu getting a ring would be great because it would mean the Spurs won another championship. Tim never thought of it as "I" am getting another ring. He won as part of a team and that is what was really important. I don't think any of the Big 3 really care about their "legacy". That is for other people to talk about. What it is about is the will to win. Tim will always be a winner on and off the court and Manu and Parker now have to find themselves as the mentors to a new generation. But make no mistake, the foundation will always have been layed down by TD.
