Seems valid to me. I think Spurs fans write off how elite Manu has been for much of his career.

i'm not sure even a 2005 Manu would elevate this team to ring with the current compe ion. It wouldn't mean anything if it happens. Either legacy's are sealed.

No. I don't expect Manu to be huge in the playoffs. Maybe I am underselling him but I don't expect a Timmy 2015 Clippers series performance out if him. I thought of anything, this season he needed to have it bc the bench, as Pop structured it, with the players he chose, needed Manu to have a few big games in the playoffs. He's a passer at this point and a 3 pt shooter. The most valuable asset is his leadership in mentoring our NGS. If they don't get it done themselves, Manu won't turn the tide. I do think he has a few big shots left in him, if he's allowed to play off other ppl and not being the man.
He's obviously not gonna turn into 2005 Manu, but he's gonna be huge in the sense that he'll be the one that keeps the bench together, as they're mostly new/young guys

Doesn't Tony have four rings as well. It's more a legacy for Tony as he is more of s contributor at this point.

The only thing Tony contributes to is the buffet after games.

Well apparently, Manu's legacy at present is the fans lining up to get on their knees for him. I would assume that winning another championship wouldn't change anything but their enthusiasm level.

I don't think it's going to happen. But just in case, you should invest in some good knee pads.

He'll be the oldest guy in the roster and somewhat replace Tim as the senior figure. That will probably be his most important contribution to the success of the team, onboarding the new guys, etc. He probably has some big shots left.

The thing that pains me the most is that now it wont be possible to keep adding to that record of most playoff wins by a trio

Nothing. Manu's legacy is cemented. He is an NBA Champion, an Olympic Gold Medalist and certain Hall of Famer.

Why is Duncan in this question about Ginobili's legacy? If he needs to be in it, then why not include Parker or Kobe? Next, you'll be comparing him to MJ.

Dont even sweat it with TGY - he's always been a Manu hater. You can read many of his posts in the past. So whatever he says about Manu is always biased. Not a great source of wisdom... BTW

I love this LOL. Manu's going to miss Timmy a lot to play pranks on.
