Yes. I have read everything written I can find and the 2 best pieces I have found are Gay's and Kevin Arnovitz from ESPN.com. If you read nothing else, those are the 2 imo....Thank you TD
Woj bomb fail? Wow.. Thanks.
Guess we'll just have to tune into the stream tomorrow
Yep...or helping her at SA Missions games. I went to a game a few weeks ago, didn't realize she is the entertainment announcer for all the fan games they play between innings. Tim's a lucky man!
I respect Tim's "over himself" approach, but he needs to say goodbye to the fans that have supported him his entire career to give closure. Every athlete retires at some point. An exit interview is the way to go. To be honest, he should show up to the first game of the season so fans can honor him. I get this stuff is not him, but do it for the fans.
It's really not odd. Tim is retired, doesn't have to say anything and elects not to. First time in his adult life he can avoid talking to the press without incurring a fine.
Come on, not even a thanks to the fans or to San Antonio?
More like a your welcome.
for people mad about duncan not receiving Kobe press, you guys claim to be spurs fans and in 19 years still haven't figured out that Duncan hates the press?
I don't think he's leaving. He can thank them when they raise his jersey.
I don't think Tim does social media so he'd have to be here to do it and he's on vacation. For once he can forget about basketball for the summer.
+10000000
he'll likely say something at the first home game or at jersey ceremony- jesus what a man. i envy you all for having this guy as the cornerstone of the franchise. it certainly feels good seeing the warriors this relevant again, but give me the rich culture you guys established over two decades anyday. so much more to feel proud about. feels weird say it, but go spurs go.
This is the very article quoted by Coach Pop, a great read:

Vanessa Macias says Duncan will be interviewed tomorrow at 12pm Central by his friend Rash Clenance on Vivid Streaming (virgin island radio)
Pop talked about Timmy playing a role in the Spurs organization. Hopefully he takes the job vacated by Chad Forcier.
It's hard to believe that it was 8 years ago to the day.
Let's hope Wemby has just as an amazing career as Duncan. He might even end up better, but that's a high mountain to climb which I believe he can do. You can't discredit the Spurs ability to draft franchise players, from Robinson to Duncan to Leonard (before his ghosting act) to Wemby. Yeah most of them were #1 picks, but how many #1 picks actually stay with their original teams and win championships?
Been all downhill since then
Facts!!
I hope he stays here long enough
