Refreshing just to hear his voice again![]()
"There's no way I could have written that script" -Tim Duncan on his 19 year career
Interviewer mentioned the "camera girl" so hopefully that gets out on the interwebs eventually.

My post below yours has the video link
With him talking to a good friend, we're getting a lot of insight here we wouldn't have gotten with a stock press conference.
Now it's not live on FB anymore.. .get it together Vanessa!
Yup. I'm glad he's doing it this way
She was only live for like 15 seconds![]()
Yeah, this is good stuff.
She dropped the ball big time haha.
Fun fact I never knew: Tim Duncan doesn't have a Virgin Islands accent because his parents purposely forced taught him to speak with an American accent because they "wanted him to speak more properly."
Interviewer - "are you gonna stay retired"
TD - "I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay retired" "I can probably still play"
"I stopped enjoying it at times"
"It wasn't fun anymore"
WOW
Wow. TD said he stopped enjoying himself and it wasn't as fun. Didn't expect that.
Timmy: "As of right now, yea, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna stay retired." And added, "I can probably still play."
Do I sense a comeback?![]()
Also said he decided to stop playing because "I started not enjoying myself as much; it wasn't fun at times. When it's not fun anymore, I'm done."
Understandable tbh. When you're used to being so dominant, and you're relegated to being a s of yourself who's "just" a reliable role-player now, it probably takes a lot of fun out of it, tbh.
I still think he's downplaying the severity of his knee issues though.
I don't think he wants to make the injury excuse even though it's the obvious thing.
Waiting for ST to blame Tony for causing Tim to not have fun anymore.
Thought it was pretty black and white in the interview that he's the primary reason.
I get bored with basketball after 3 casual games at the gym, much less 20+ years of constant training and playing thousands of games.Give the man a break
His friend keeps harping on him to get on social media!![]()
It's probably both. How fun is it to play when you're in pain and when you can't make easy shots due to your injuries? Sure hope it's something like that. Would sort of taint him for me if he was faking the excitement he showed for his teammates.
