Should the Worriers rim be 10'2" and the Cavs 9'10"?

Should the Spurs court be 98 feet long and the Heat 92?

Should the Patriots field be 60 yards wide and the Niners 50?

Should the Packers put a flagpole in the middle of Lambeau to make things interesting?

having an incline with a flagpole on the field
can't wait till someone goes headfirst into it
    playing on 30 different fields
why not make base paths different lengths in different stadiums?
    designated hitters
pitchers are too stupid or lazy to learn to hit a ball
    different rules in different leagues
    fatbol

Floptrot. The rules change depending on which country's elites are paying off the refs.

the floptrot crew can no longer denigrate the superior athleticism of baseball players, so now they shift into talking about "rule changes."

    Anyhow, all sports do it.

FIBA rules are different from NBA rules.

Euro hockey rules are different from the NHL, and Euro hockey rinks are larger.

Floptrot has different shootout rules in the MLS vs. EPL.

Really streeeetching for a burn here, my man.

Just deal with the fact that baseball players are faster, stronger, and can jump higher than floptrot players. Don't fret, you got that stamina thing that even 102 year olds can do

Why are you bringing football into this? My examples were basketball and American football.

Your examples are all between completely different leagues on different continents.

The only game, other than fatbol, that I can think of that does this is golf.

Leagues and continents are places "where" you play, are they not?

I don't even give a about this. I love that each stadium is unique, and GMs have to figure out how to best design a roster that can excel at home.

You don't see that dynamic in any sport, but Splits want a monoculture where we all enjoy watching twinks jog around a field for 90 minutes as the match ends in yet another tie. I don't think Splits really likes basketball all that much. To each his own, but I thought the European mentality was all about being open minded and "tolerant?"

    Highly relevant picture.

Pretty sad when supposed non baseball fans catches on rule changes before an actual fan. First time I'm learning of this new rule.

Well, you should've written your thread le more clearly, like "In what other sport do the field dimensions change upon where you play?"

I really don't care, though. I like that about baseball. Just like you like your ties in floptrot.

Splits was a baseball fan once. His hatred of baseball is out of anti-Americanism and his growing love of floptrot.

Splits, being an asshole of a Saturday nite.
Joe Buck (at Yankee stadium): "HIGH fly ball, DEEP right-center, that ball is.... OUUTTA HERE"

Joe Buck (at Giants stadium): "Routine fly ball to right, Williamson is under it, and... the inning is over"

The catch? It was the exact same hit.

This is all in fun. Splits is my guy. But I will always remained puzzled by his overt Europhilia that basically has him disliking everything American to irrational degrees. It's like he wants to be a part of something "cultured" and "refined."

Like these dip s (you're not a dip , Splits):

    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/17/fa...cles.html?_r=0

    Comes off as try-hard contrarianism.

    Floptrot announcer: "GOAAAAAAALLLLL!!!"

    Floptrot announcer: "Penalty!"

The only difference? Which country bribed the refs more and bet more money on the game.

Wrong. My hatred of fatball is because I no longer have 3+ hours to waste watching 15 minutes of "action".

Floptrot has way less relevant action.

If we're lucky, we might get one goal, three or four saves, and five corner kicks.

    "Jogging around" is not "action."

    Meanwhile, in a better sport:

    http://espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=360723102

Don't you wish floptrot had a back-and-forth like that?

Take the most common final score, for example. In 188,060 league games, the final tally was most often 1-0, proof, for Curley, that soccer was as low-scoring as he suspected. This result has occurred in more than 30,000 games — 16 percent of the total. Other common scores: 2-1 (about 27,000 games), 2-0 (about 22,000) and 1-1 (about 22,000).

In 85,694 games — dangerously close to half the total — at least one of the teams forgot to score at all. That led Curley to an answer for one of his questions: “Soccer is a bit dull,” he told me.
It's the chanting that you love, isn't it?

Says the 24/7 hate guy who thinks MLK and Ali were traitors while Wallace would have made a great president.

Targeting the nice guy who pays for your health care and your WGT drivers.

That would be a high scoring floptrot game

Serious question (not talking ): Do you get bored easily?

I mean, most sporting events last from 3 hours to 8 hours per day in test cricket. Golf round is about 6 hours. Men's tennis match is 3-4 hours. Motorsports can last from 2 to 24 hours (LeMans). NBA games average about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
