While I would trade Danny I wouldn't be happy about it. Everyone else is fair game (in basketball terms. For personal reasons as a long term fan it'd be tough to see Manu or Tony go).

Not a chance in the Spurs trade Leonard. The Spurs are not going to trade the two-time defensive player of the year and last year's runner up in the MVP voting. After all of the huge contracts given out this offseason Leonard's contract is a damn bargain over the next few years.

Any trade for Westbrook at this point is going to be for a one-year rental. He is not going to sign an extension. Not a chance in that the Spurs consider that trade.
OKC has no leverage at all. No team with half a brain will give up decent pieces without assurance that he'll re-sign. At same time, Russ probably would only give 1 or two teams the assurance IF he does give any assurance. Even if Russ gives 1 or two teams that he'd give his assurance to, those two teams or one team would have all the leverage in the world to drive down his price.ROFL @ that article saying the Spurs could offer Green/Murray/Anderson for Westbrook.

Not really. He and his agent could let select teams know that he would re-sign next summer. Going back on that would be detrimental to both player and agent.

OKC is so screwed.... no possible way Westbrook will extend with the current financial situation, and few if any teams willing to trade anything substantial for a guy who is viewed as a strange decision maker... if (though I'd say it's more like when) he leaves, luring free agents to play in OKC will be very difficult. I said it two years ago: they should've traded Westbrook when he had high value and time left on his contract.
Kawhi is the polar opposite of Russ: temperamentally stable, uninterested in stat stuffing, loves playing defense, avoids the spotlight, good teammate, etc., plus he has a great long term contract at a very reasonable price. Russ will undoubtedly want to "get paid" and be one of the highest paid players in the league, demanding a contract that will cost significantly more than Kawhi's contract. The Spurs would never consider for a second trading Kawhi for Russ.

That is a possibility but I think it's a much stronger possibility that Westbrook wants to go through the free agency process and have teams line up to kiss his ass during the next off-season.

While I obvioulsly laugh at giving up Kawhi for WB, I do think people are wildly underestimating the potential trade value of WB all things considered.
Getting nearly a full season of WB not only sells tickets, but is splashy. As much as this is about basketball, it's also a business. Then on top of that, it's a pretty sizeable advantage for a team trading for WB with regards to the ability of keeping him.
Whomever has WB at the time of FA is the odds on favorite to keep him. Of course nothing is guaranteed, but plenty of teams would be willing to gamble on getting a top 5-8 player even if the risk is losing him. Even if they can sign him in FA. In FA, the only difference in you and other teams is who has his bird rights (in addition to whatever else WB values; winning ,city, market, etc..).
Teams may not bring the house, but I would not be surprised if someone makes a big offer either.
Biggest issue is that Westbrook would be making nearly as much as LMA and Kawhi combined next year if he signed a max contract using Bird rights. I don't think I could stomach that.
Kawhi is more mainstream so people overrated him, two first round exits with him as lead guy...
