The Spurs chances of landing Russ are slim and none.

First, they won't trade Kawhi. Second, they'll likely get a better offer elsewhere.

There's no way in the Thunder let another player walk without compensation.

Double no. Danny Green, Kyle Anderson, draft picks, cash or rights to stashed players.
Untouchables - Kawhi , LMA , Mills , Parker, Gasol, Manu, Dedmon and Murrary.

Working on both ends, in playoffs, against LeBron.

Tim Duncan was a court superstar from year 2 through year 17 of his career. The FO added a couple of stars in TP and MG to compliment him. Wondering whether Leonard or Westbrook are superstars or just stars. Leonard did win a finals MVP and a couple of DPOY awards. Westbrook has super talent but didn't look coachable, but then came the last 4 games of the Spurs series and first four games of the Warriors series this year. Still concerned about Westbrook's BBIQ. Still concerned about Leonard's ability to be that alpha leader. Guess one in the hand tops two in the bush.

As far as im concerned the Kawhi era starts this year.
Doesn't make getting on by Matt Barnes any better... Two seasons with him supposed to be our best player and he shrink come money time, so what gonna be now he also need to lead an era? Are we settling for being first round exit team?

No. He's better than Kawhi but I am bullish on Dejounte. We definitely don't have another small forward who can take over for when Kawhi's gone.

Kawhi is a second banana and no team will ever win a chip with him being the main piece. Don't tell me about, 2014, that team had no leader, the best player was different every single game and as teams focus more on KL, he disappears. See Barned in '15 and even he wa shut down by ing Roberson and the 6'2 Waiters. He is not an A man.

Someone needs to teach these kids some respect. Kawhi is already more than anyone ever thought and he improves every year. I would say with Timmy gone he will take over more and he will continue his rise.

As the best Spurs player on both ends in the last 3 games of the Finals.
But he sucked ass the first 2 games of the series when Tim imposed his will. I will agree that he had great games in 3-4-5, but he wasn't coming in as "the man" or even the third option. He's a good player - but hasn't led the team to anything.

    no to op.

Westbrook's explosive athleticism is incredible but it's gonna take a toll on his knees and ankles more sooner than later.

How great was Barnes' defense without Splitter Clogging up the middle and Aldridge spacing the floor? I'll wait for an answer. U don't have to reply right away. As far as "shut down " by Roberson and Waiters, he had a better series against the Thunder than the reigning 2 time mvp. No one told parker and Alridge to miss wide open chip shots at the end of game 5.

You're missing the point. KL has a great cast. For him to be this prime-time player that everyone says he is, he needs to lead the team, otherwise he's just a cast member.

meeelllllllllltttttttt doooooowwnnnnnnnnnnnnn, did you copy and paste your post.

Spurs needed someone to score when it mattered. Im not a Jimmer fan per-se. Im a fan of having someone that can create buckets when the spurs were going to go on their drought. Its OBVIOUS that Spurs needed more firepower. I was more for Jimmer than I was for some defensive FC player who couldn't score. Looking back at how the playoffs ended for SA, I was right. Hurts you, doesn't it?

So what? There are just a few players in the history of the game who played great a whole series. Most players had his bad and good games through the playoffs, even LeBron/Curry had their bad games in last Finals. Kawhi was one of them, elevating his game to another level to win the le in 2014.

And just for the record, he was "the man" in those last three games being the #1 option with more FGAs than any other Spur on the court.

He's a good player - but hasn't led the team to anything.
    He's a great player.
I've said this before, a lot of great players never reached the Finals or won a ship. I don't judge talent by just rings because I refuse to believe that Bonner is better than Barkley or Ewing
