There is a 400m sprinter from South Africa named Waybe Van Niekerk, he is the only sprinter in history to run a sub 10.00/20.00/44.00. He won the Worlds last season and is the current..."Da Man" at 400m. I do see him threatening MJ's WR of 43.18 sometime in the future, I can see a 43.3ish in Rio.
Then there's Oregon footballer Devon Allen who won our Oly trials in 13.03 (NCAA record 13.00). He has a great shot at winning a gold/silver.

Let me set this up.
Due to injuries to Mel "Army" Pender and Trenton "Illionis" Jackson we had to run our 200m guys Paul "Villanova" Drayton and Richard "Grambling" Stebbins. And the last white sprinter to run on a USA Oly 4x1 team, Gerry Ashworth out of Dartmouth (last Ivy Leagurer also)
So there we are lane 7, you could say those injuries were a blessing in disquise, if we had ran our "A" team we wouldn't have seen this amazing display of catch up speed. This is STILL considered the greatest 4x1 anchor ever ran. I saw it as it happened.

Noah Lyles (and his brother a great 400m sprinter) a high school kid who ran the fastest 200m 20.08** ever for a HS (took 4th in the trials) just signed a pro contract with Adias. So no NCAA track, I don't like it.
