The high school record at 200m is 20.13. You might have broke 30.0

The hs 4x1 record is 39 something by a Texas school. You guys might have broke 46ish.

Current....that 20.09 was ran vs open compe ion, it won;t count as a new record.

Few events in track are more exciting than the 4x1 relay.

Here we have the Orange twins, we have also seen...

    Calvin and Alvin Harrison
    The Wesleys
    Gene and Joe Pouncey
    Davidson and Osmond Ezinwa...Nigeria
    Curtis and Marvin Mills

Check out this 4x4 anchor leg, this is the great Obea Moore out of Muir. After HS he had all kinds of personal problems, what a shame.

I just drove by a track at a high school down the road. After looking at it, I'm pretty sure I ran near 20 seconds for the 200.

If you or anyone in middle school had ran near 20 seconds you'd be on ESPN.....trust me. The local media would be a mile deep at your door step.

In the mid 80's Texan (Rossevelt HS in Dallas) Roy Martin ran a 20.13, that is still the HS record. Noah Lyles did run a 20.09 at our Oly trials but being that wasn't HS compeition it won't count as the new record.

What you probably ran was 29 something, yep, that is very realistic.

If a HS kid can break 21.00 that is a big deal and colleges will be looking at him as a recruit.

I don't know. As I said, this was in Middle School and through the RA's. I doubt that ESPN would have caught wind of it back then. And I'm not saying I could run that now.

OK...here's what I just did. I measured three feet off and moved from point A to point B in like a 10th of a second. Might have been a 9th or an 11th. Either way, that puts me at about 20 for 200 yards.

I don't think you are getting this. WORLD CLASS...sprinter sometimes don't break 20.40. And as I mentioned breaking 21.00 is HUGE at the HS level.....ok? No way in you ran anything remotely close to 20 second for 200m. Dude, Jesse Owens didn't run that fast, ok? Bullet Bob Hayes had a PR of 20.5...ok?

A 20.00 would have you on the world list.

A 20.00 by a middle school kid would put him in with....

Betty Robinson who won the first Olympic 100 for women in 1932, she was 16 years old.

High schooler Francis Hussey who in 1924 totally destroyed the Oly 100m champ Harold Abrahams (GB) on a 4x1 leg.

Alameda's HS sprinter James Jackson who's 9.4 for 100 yards lead the nation, it was 1955.

In 1957 Cali KS 100/200 champ Preston Griffen took third at our USA Nationals in the 200m.

In 1972 Arizona HSer Dwayne Evans would win the Oly bronze in the 200m.

In 1975 Baker HS junior Houston McTear ran a WR 9.0 for a 100 yards.

You don't know. You weren't there. I told you I thought it was around 20 but wasn't sure. I followed this up with doing a yard in a tenth of a second. Plus my inspection of a track. So that's two additional pieces of corroboration.
And I said around 20. So maybe it was closer to 21. Or maybe in the high 19's.

Do you have any idea at all what a 20.00 200m really is? First off a dumb it would take a fiy close to a 10.00 100m to do that.

    Are you really this stupid?
