omg he also knows about gaylord perry and babe ruth!
That's deep, bro. Makes a TON of sense.
Kind of like Shaq in Blue Chips?
omg he also knows about gaylord perry and babe ruth!
not to mention......has anyone else noticed how humble of a star spursforsix turned out to be?
I didn't see that but exactly like that.
Damn. I just got schooled by the resident track expert. My bad, bro. I was just speaking outta my ass. You know way more than I do. I mean... 20.
I can't take credit for that. Had I known back then (remember I was just about to hit high school) that I ran one of the fastest 200's, I'm sure I would have been a y son-of-a- .
I would have been insufferable.
or faster
Is it weird that I'm kind of hard right now? I'm just in awe.
I kind of want to ask him about football and if he played. Maybe you can. To be honest... I'm a little intimidated by all of his knowledge. The dude is like a freak of nature. I bet he has like a whole garage full of sports almanacs and sports stuff.
Are you really this damn stupid?
Stupid, nobody runs a 20.00 and goes unnoticed ok ya dumb . You would have made the cover of Track & Field News. Every college in Texas would have you scouted.
Stupid, the great Tommie Smith didn't run that fast as a kid, ok ya dumb ?
There will be guys at this Olympics who can't run a 20.00 ok stupid?
SFS was faster than THE Tommie Smith? No ?!
Actually, my dad wouldn't let me play football. I would have dominated. I was big and fast for my age. At the beginning of every year, the football coach would ask me to play and then he'd bug my dad about it.
Dad finally let me play when I was a sop re but at that point, I was starting on the Varsity basketball team. I would have missed a couple of months of basketball practice if I had played football.
But I can assure you, I would have been an excellent RB and LB.
I started a boner thread already.
What about "this was middle school RA's" that you don't get? The coach wasn't a trained track coach. Just someone's dad who managed the team. Not someone who knew what I was really accomplishing. Or someone who could pick up the phone and call Track and Field magazine. You realize the internet wasn't around back then?
The guy has absolutely no clue about anything![]()
Well I guess if they had the Olympics in East Texas back in the 80's, I might have a ing medal to shove up your ass. I'm not so delusional that I think I could run anything close to that today.
Same ol' SFS. He started that thread days ago and here I am JUST NOW bringing it up. Dude is fast af

There's probably some kind of search filter where you can see all the threads I've started. They cover a wide range of topics. Whenever you have a thought, you might first check to see if I have a thread about it. If you're not comfortable starting your own, you are welcome to PM me and I will review and determine 1) if it needs a thread started or 2) if it's appropriate to put in an already started thread.
Dude, I;ve been into this stuff since the late 50's, there is npbody anywhere running a 20,00 I;m not aware of, ok ya ing idiot? Stupid, you will see guys in the 2016 Olympics who can't run that fast, ok ya dummy?
You've been into a lot of stuff since the late 50's. Most things very unpalatable.
i'll try to come up with some way to approach him about that.
the things people find fascinating are a tedious borefest for experts like him.
oh wow! i was sitting here for an hour, too afraid to hit reply, and you already, graciously, responded with such truth and warmth.
As you try everything to get around the FACT ya don't know .
