Nice!!!
Since next Saturday is David Robinson's birthday, NBA TV will be showing some of his old games that day. They'll run from 6am ET until 1:30pm.
The games they'll be showing are:
6:00 - 1993 First Round vs Blazers - Game 4 (Robinson 20 points, 17 rebounds, 11 assists, 7 blocks)
8:00 - 1996 First Round vs Suns - Game 2 (Robinson 40 points, 21 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals)
10:00 - 1999 NBA Finals vs Knicks - Game 5 (Robinson 15 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block)
11:30 - 2003 NBA Finals vs Nets - Game 1 (Robinson 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks)
1:30 - 2003 NBA Finals vs Nets - Game 6 (Robinson 13 points, 17 rebounds, 2 blocks)
They'll show that first game again at 6pm, and it'll be followed by Champions Revealed at 8:00. Don't forget to set your DVRs if you won't be home to watch.
Not the 71-point game? Or his quadruple-double?
Still, thanks for the heads up.
Right now on NBA TV theres run TMC Dubs vs Robinson-Elliott Spurs
Yeah, I don't know why they won't show either one of those. These are the same ones they showed last year.....it's time for some new stuff.
I think this 71 point game was never broadcast and only videos are from the arena. I know it sounds weird, but back in the 90's there were some games that were not ever televised and I remember listening only on the radio. I know today, in this day and age, that sounds ridiculous but I have just seen a few clips and never seen the whole thing.
Its like the Christine Chubbuck video of her blowing her brains out on live TV, there is a video out there somewhere of it.
Yeah, I remember that. They should at least have his quadruple-double game or some of those games against the Bulls where The Admiral made prime Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen look like scrubs. I remember one of those games being on TNT.
I also remember some of the games broadcast on KSAT 12 at times. Funny you mentioned the Bulls, but I do remember those games and they would show road games here and there. The NBA TV schedules and carriers were weird back then.
Yeah, the Spurs gave the Bulls fits in The Admiral's prime. Athletic centers were kryptonite for the Bulls. In fact, the Spurs had a winning record against the Bulls before The Admiral injured his back. After the Bulls got Dennis Rodman, they went 6-0 against us during their 2nd 3-peat run.
They not going to show the 1995 Western Conference Finals vs Rockets?![]()
They should have showed the game where David Robinson dropped over 30 plus points on Orlando Shaq in the spring of '94. Watching that game on NBC as a kid made me become a spurs fan.
The funny thing about that one, is that game was on Shaq's birthday. I also wouldn't mind seeing the game where he served Shaq with a triple-double.
Yeah, I remember watching the Phoenix game last year they had on. Thanks anyways though man.

No one wanted to watch clippers games back then.
I also remember home games being PPV for like 14 bucks. Can you imagine having to pay to watch home games??
Messed. Up.
D-Rob was always meant to be a 1-B. It's a shame for him that Duncan didn't come along sooner.
....or any of the playoff games against Mail Man.![]()
I remember my dad saying "oh we playing the Jazz mijo.. we will probably lose tonight"
I'd really like to see NBATV dig through the archives and find something other than the same six games they always show when there's a Spurs theme.
I was a broke ass college student back then and always used to go to Pizza Hut and grab those Spurs Schedules and count on one hand how many games I could watch.
Sucks also because usually it was road games on KSAT against the Blazers or SuperSonics and you had to stay up way late. East Coast road games against like the Knicks and Bulls all happened early, done by like 7 here.
i am in my mid 20s and i remember doing this...my family only subscribed to "basic cable" so we didn't really have any games. we would have to go to friends houses to watch playoffs games...suchs but in a way brought us together to watch games with friends
do you remember sean elliott first game back was on PPV. i remember he dunked the ball in that game...it barley got above the rim but he did it
