Hillary is almost sure to come out with a 4% or 5% lead in the polls next week. Then 98% will forget about it until after Labor day and then the debates start. As ty a speaker as Hillary is she will probably be very effective in the debates because she will have a hundred prepared and focus grouped one liners and Trump will probably just wing it. As much as I dislike Hillary I have to admit she has been practicing this for 25 years and rarely goes off script even if I disagree with the script. If Trumps handlers put a shock collar on him and zap him every time he goes off script he might have a punchers chance against her down to the wire.

She got easily tripped by Bernie on progressive issues, and the more she speaks, the less people like her, tbh... the fact that there's only going to be 3 debates is bad news for Trump, he should be pushing for 5-6.

The only thing Trump really needs to worry about is to make sure he doesn't come out as a misogynist pig, which, granted, is not a given...

    Totally disagree.

She's going to demolish him in that format. He was fine standing around with 7 others on the stage. 1-on-1 against one of the most seasoned debaters is a total different ballgame.

I doubt he even participates in more than 1 debate. He may skip them altogether. He's already laying the groundwork ( Hilary is fixing the debates just like against Bernie )

The Donald is a guy that loves the limelight, whereas Shillary, I think, takes a hit from exposure. They're both liars, and get away with it.

Trump is going to declare victory on a tweet basically 1 min after the debate ends, tbh

Shillary probably going to mention how she pushed a key to remote control the M-16 that killed OBL...

I actually think the VP debate will be more entertaining, tbh...

That's exactly what I mean when I say he's going to have to be careful. There's a line there, and I alluded to it before, he can't pull another Megan Kelly this late in the race, IMO.

He can't even get through a 15 minute interview without sticking his in his mouth (i.e. today, Russia has not invaded Ukraine)

She will slaughter him. Manafort's only focus over the next two months is how to keep him from getting on that stage.

Trump is a bag... Can't even shut up about things. Always has to put his stupid rants on twitte on Every topic basically. Can't believe repubs are in support of this clown
Trump saves literally millions upon millions posting rants or followups on twitter that the media, his supporters and his haters then gobble up. Not defending him or his comments in any way, but he is the most popular (statistically speaking, not his favorability ratings) person in America, possibly the world - and at a fraction of the cost compared to Shillary. And that is thanks in no small part to those little 140 character rants. Love him or hate him, win or lose, he has already written the book on using social media to not only increase name recognition, but keep your average Joe emotionally involved in the day to day events of a political campaign. If he wins the presidency (wont happen), it will have been perhaps the greatest feat accomplished by a single man in the history of politics. How powerful freedom of speech and the press really can be, hmm?

Good point. And we will be so saturated with Hillary's 2 billion dollar bombardment of attack ads we will just turn mentally them off.

    It was a tie tbh..

She owned Bernie in the first few debates. It wasn't until much later that Hillary got shook by Bernie's popularity and talking points.

You have to remember Bernie hadn't ever done debates one on one before. She had that going for her. But he later got the hand of it and destroyed her with the release the speeches lines.

    Boots.

    From the rape article

In relation to why the media is avoiding this story, Lisa Bloom is fair handed. But I don’t think the MSM deserves a fair shake. In my opinion, the media wants to keep Trump viable to create a high-tension, general election horse race and anything that threatens Trump’s viability is ignored.

    Do you really believe this?
Of course. USA's perversely elongated Pres campaigns are primarily a $2B+ business, employing 100Ks, media selling ads to sell BigCorp products.

Trash is trash, has NO chance of winning, but the seasonal "campaign industry" has to keep LYING that there are two a really compe ive campaigns so people keep watching the ads.

The Kahn's were so TOTALLY DESTRUCTIVE of Trash, that the entire Repug/rightwing hate media absolutely must destroy the Kahns

Mike Pence Releases Breathtakingly Cynical Statement On The Khan Family

STATEMENT FROM REPUBLICAN VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, GOVERNOR MIKE PENCE
Donald Trump and I believe that Captain Humayun Khan is an American hero and his family, like all Gold Star families, should be cherished by every American.

Captain Khan gave his life to defend our country in the global war on terror. Due to the disastrous decisions of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a once stable Middle East has now been overrun by ISIS. This must not stand.

By suspending immigration from countries that have been compromised by terrorism, rebuilding our military, defeating ISIS at its source and projecting strength on the global stage, we will reduce the likelihood that other American families will face the enduring heartbreak of the Khan family.

Donald Trump will support our military and their families and we will defeat the enemies of our freedom.

    - Governor Mike Pence

Everything You Need to Know About Trump's NFL BS

In his first effort to scuttle the Fall presidential debates Donald Trump has suggested that Hillary Clinton is trying to rig the debates by scheduling them during must-watch NFL games.

Is this true? Not a trick question! Since it's come up a lot I want to lay out some basic facts about Trump's latest claim.

    1. Did Hillary Clinton do this?

No, of course not. The Commission on Presidential debates has overseen all presidential debates going back to the 1980s. The commission is bipartisan (co-chaired by one Republican and one Democrat) and announced the dates for this year's debates on September 23rd, 2015. This year's NFL schedule was announced in April 2016.

    2. How many days are there in a week?

Well, seven of course. But some have suggested that even though the exact schedule wasn't known until April, the commission knew what days and nights the NFL schedules games. Here's where calendar knowledge comes in. Friday and Saturday are historically low TV viewership nights. If the debate commission wanted high viewership those two nights are out. Since 2006, the NFL has scheduled games on three nights a week, in addition to the main Sunday afternoon play: Sunday, Monday and Thursday. If the commission wants to work around the NFL schedule they are limited to two days out of the week: Tuesday and Wednesday.

    3. Has the debate commission ever done this before?

Of course it has. The four 2012 debates were held on a Wednesday, Tuesday, Thursday and Monday. The four 2008 debates included two Thursdays Fridays, one MondayWednesday and one Tuesday.

    4. Did Donald Trump get a letter from the NFL complaining about the schedule?

No. He lied about that. Earlier this week Trump told ABC News: "It's against two NFL games. I got a letter from the NFL saying, 'This is ridiculous.'"

An NFL spokesman said categorically that the NFL never sent a letter about the debates to Trump.

Mikesisak @alexweprin While we'd obviously wish the Debate Commission could find another night, we did not send a letter to Mr Trump.

    — Brian McCarthy (@NFLprguy) July 30, 2016

The Trump campaign now says "“Mr. Trump was made aware of the conflicting dates by a source close to the league."

Trump brags that he snubbed Koch brothers — but they say they never asked for a meeting

conservative mega-donors Charles and David Koch kick off their biannual summit with their extensive network of donors, Donald Trump lobbed a pre-emptive shot, claiming he had rebuffed the industrialists' request for a meeting.

But top officials to the Koch operation threw cold water on that Saturday afternoon, saying they had no knowledge of a meeting request.

"I know a meeting didn't happen. You'll have to talk to him about what his facts are," said Mark Holden, a top official for Freedom Partners,

neither campaign has any semblance of credibility. And just like during the primaries, Hillary is struggling to make any kind of real gains amongst voters against far lesser compe ion.

I wonder how it feels, knowing you will win the most powerful office on earth based more upon vitriol towards the opposition than anything else? Knowing Hillary, it probably doesnt make any difference at all. She created her own reality long ago, one where private email servers dont explicitly violate policy, one where her two tone half screech doesnt immediately provoke negative reactions from all who hear it, a reality where she really did come under sniper fire in Bosnia.

People talk about Donald being insane. Well, he is. But so is Hillary.

credibility is irrelevant. Electability is all that counts. Trash is unelectable.

Hillary's "gains"? Her bounce has her at +15. I expect her to keep that lead or near to until the election, where it may be +20.

Trash's trashing the Kahns very probably is the kind of suicidal he will keep doing, has been doing all along.

Her bounce is surely among voters who were leaning or registered D anyway. What about Hillary makes you think she has any ability to unite the country?

And before you pose a false dichotomy, leave Trump out of your reply. Focus on Hillary and why I should vote for her rather than a 3rd party.

They benefit, profit most only from owning, corrupting Congress and the states, and capturing regulators.
