NBA Rumors: Spurs to target Steph Curry in free agency?
Ric Bucher believes the Spurs will target Stephen Curry next summer in free agency.
The Golden State Warriors landed the biggest free agency domino when they signed Kevin Durant. With Durant on board a new “big four” has been formed that is unlike any other as Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are all arguably top 15 players.
The Warriors broke the regular season wins record last season with 73 wins, though even with Durant they most likely won’t chase that record again as they may find it wise to rest their stars once their probable number #1 seed is locked up.
Resting their star players is something they did not do last season and it may have cost them. As the Warriors ultimately did not lock like the same team in the playoffs and lost in seven games to the Cleveland Cavilers in the NBA Finals after taking a 3-1 lead.
For one le contender, they hope that a scenario of Golden State not being able to capture the le crown will continue again next season. That team is the San Antonio Spurs. Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report believes that the Spurs will use the idea that Kevin Durant has come to Golden State and has taken away some of the super-s om away from Stephen Curry in order to try to lure Curry to San Antonio.
Bucher believes that the Spurs will try to persuade to Stephen Curry that if he joins the Spurs he will be the superstar again and will form a formidable trio with Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldrige. Though he believes that this theory is only viable if the Warriors don’t capture the championship.
While this theory may seem far fetched at the moment, keep in mind that no one actually believed that Kevin Durant would join the Warriors. So if the the Warriors fail to win the championship again and Curry feels that some of his super-s om has been taken away, we will see how “humble” Curry really is if he decides to leave Golden State.
Lol every team in the league is going to target Steph curry
That was very fun to watch.
We have a better shot at Westbrook than curry and neither is likely as I see it. Bucher just making up as usual.

Adam Joseph @AdamJosephSport
Russell Westbrook is set to sign an extension with OKC. Details are with the league for final approvals. Press conference is tomorrow.
wow. big news. it'll be bigger than conley's deal?
Sign and trade perhaps?
Why else would he need to sign.
Makes no sense whatsoever. Why would he leave so many millions on the table to stay with a team whose ceiling is a second-round exit?
