As a player that relies heavily on his athleticism, it makes the most sense to stay where he is. By the time the Lakers become real threat in the Western Conference, Russell will be exiting his prime. Makes the most sense just to see where he is.

By the time the Lakers become a real threat in the Western Conference, Russell's grandkids will be exiting their primes.
