So why draft a guy like him when the backup you have isn't a good fit?
I like Prescott, I think he was a good pick. I just wouldn't expect him to do all that well if he got thrown in there this year, but who knows.

this backup QB injury thing being such a big issue just shows how stupid Dallas is for continuing to rely on Romo to play a full season

    Release all 3.....
no... Demarcus Lawrence is a RKG (good guy) who got thrown out with the bathwater by the NFL... he took prescribed painkillers for his back pain from the recent surgery, GUARANTEE you that he doesn't get suspended (or it gets appealed and overturned) if he's not on the same team as Gregory/McClain this offseason and Hardy all last season.

Moore is bad for the Cowboys, prefer Dak (next Russell W with more experience) if he can throw his running would be huge for our offense given our OL and RB situation... could be the next Wilson/Lynch honestly except with a better OL and a real #1 receiver (albeit a worse defense).

Moore is particularly bad for the Cowboys not just because he's bad but because he's a lefty/southpaw QB which makes Tyron Smith relatively useless and 32 year old stiff Doug Free the blindside protector... that is bad for us.

Wow. They sure rushed that. Seems like they could have waited a few weeks to see some other backups play and maybe make a trade.

"After six full practices, no one on the Cowboys’ roster ranks higher than Claiborne in terms of on-field production, not to mention day-to-day consistency so far this summer" - dallascowboys.com

Yeah ing right this re sucks. Guaran ingteed he finishes the year with zero interceptions and a season ending injury

Patrick Peterson went the year before at #5, and he's killing Claiborne's production.. Drafting a DB that high is insane IMO

so far claiborne has been a bust but i agree with you. he was our best DB last year since scandy was hurt, carr is trash and the rest of the guys are inexperienced. he played with a chip on his shoulder and showed some improvement.

Any reports on how Zeke has looked? I know he had the hammy issue but anything on him?

I think he's looked good, but I am looking forward to Jackson getting the bulk of first team reps hopefully he makes McFadden expendable

The main argument against taking EE so early in the draft is that RB's are extremely injury prone, have short careers, and good-not-great runningbacks are a dime a dozen.

Dallas should have taken Ramsey, Bosa, or Buckner, signed a cheap veteran like Forte, and waited for next year's draft class where they could get way better value at RB in what may be one of the strongest RB classes ever. There are at lease 4 superior backs in CFB - maybe as many as 6.
