For what its worth, I know of two guys who have worked with the Spurs within the past 7 years and I've asked them who is the nicest/coolest guy, who is the biggest asshole.

Bonner, Patty, Manu being the nicest and caring.

Parker being the asshole.

No surprise, I know.

Still respect Parker for what he's contributed in the past 15 years -- even though he's a net negative player now.

As for Stephen Jackson, he's a clown.

If he wasn't so focused on his delusional rap career during the last 3 off-seasons of his career he'd still be in the league and probably never gets cut from SA.

Parker was garbage in game 6. I don't know what game you watched. Parker shot 6/23 in game 6. And then 4/18 in game 7. Really choked.

No he wasn't. And is everyone going to conveniently forget that TP was injured in game 3 of the 2013 finals? It changed the series.

Some may hold that against Parker - he isn't durable enough deep in the playoffs.

But seriously, what standard are you holding him too? He isn't as good as TD or Lebron? That when it came to the very best players on the ENTIRE PLANET he wasn't quite as good and could "only" get his team to the finals? This is just a late first round frenchman barely over 6 feet. He's one of the most unlikely success stories in basketball of all time given his background.

And then, when everything else was down, he still pulled off two of the greatest plays I have ever seen from a Spur and almost brought a championship in Game 6. Pounding the even did an article on this, and the only player it compared to was MJ himself. But fate intervened.

And to the playerfans. I love Kawhi. But him and LA had all the chance in the world to prove themselves as the Alphas in the playoffs last year. But they disappointed in the OKC series. TP wasn't in their way. When Kawhi leads us out of the second round, I'll pay more attention.

It's really not news... I mean, it's real easy to take shots at the messenger, especially when it's Jax, but this shouldn't be really shocking.

The whole backstabbing on Barry (which wouldn't be surprising in this league if not because of the "Spurs Family" culture thing TD spearheaded) was pretty public, and only really a bag does stuff like that.

I know it's nicer when the player and persona are all around nice and great, but a lot of times that doesn't happen. It's ok, as long as you're winning games and Pop knows how to make sure it's not a distraction.

All I'll say is that the Spurs went further without Jackson ('13) than they did with him ('12). That says a lot.

Well they went a round further and they gelled, but to be honest that 2012 team easily could have made the finals with a play or two going there way in that OKC series. They were close. Jackson was not the reason they lost that series, if anything he kept them in it with that game 6 and nearly gave them enough (With Tony) to pull out that game. He played hard and left it out there. 2013 he fell of a cliff though, no question.

Not sure if it was really a choke job, but the Heat deserved some credit for that. Parker can be neutered by opponents packing the paint or using long defensive wings to shut him down.

Parker is what he is, he had good years with the Spurs, maybe he wasn't/isn't the best teammate but no one is perfect. Hopefully he has matured over the years and improves as a teammate now that his skills are diminishing.
