Shaq wasn't the one who blew that series to Detroit though.

No he did not but you missed his point ot was a hungry, long defensive athletic frontline ...
Everyone thinks Kobe blew it and yes he played like ass but they were not beating the Pistons ...that year.Neither would the Spurs if .4 didnt happen

The Spurs would have had a great shot, I think the series would have been a coin flip. They got done in by the Lakers because Turkoglu and Horry went cold at the wrong time.

Karl Malone kind of defensed the out of Duncan too.

They just packed the lane and dared Turkoglu to hit shots with no one within ten feet of him, and he didn't.

You mean the frontline that Manu didn't have trouble navigating in 2005 & Wade DESTROYED 2006?

You mean when he had help (Kirby) digging at the ball after Tim wrecked him in Gm 1 & 2?

Rasho was absolutely TRASH in that series: useless on offense & got trucked by Shaq on the other end.

His show is being largely panned by critics.
Brian Lowry of CNN called the premiere "a minor-league product." Time's Daniel D'Addario said it "makes sports and popular culture feel like a slog." Sean Keeley of Awful Announcing said Simmons has to let go of the Boston shtick. Keeley's colleague Jim Weber wrote that the show's problem is that it is just Simmons' "columns and podcasts with video." Ty Duffy of The Big Leadwrote Simmons is simply "not that charismatic on television."
I have caught up with with couple episodes online, but After a month or so, this is pretty much sums it up..Simmons should quit his "TV personality" dreams forevever..dude and his show blows..he is not ct for the screen...even the Ringer website has been awful thus far...

As I predicted the moment Simmons got canned from ESPN, he'd be begging for his old job back within a couple years. He was always obnoxious, never talented, and relied on ESPN shoving him down the throats of the lowest common denominator sports fan who's too lazy to look for other sources of news. Nobody was ever going to go out of their way to watch this got on pay-per-view.

He has some talents but they begin and end wirh mailbags and running diary type tricks. To be fair he was a exec producer on 30 for 30 and grantland was quality ...he has had some good writers on staff at Grantland ...

Simmons' best contributions to sports media have been the ones that don't involve him writing or talking (30 for 30, the actually talented writers who appear on Grantland/The Ringer).

& that contribution he made in conjunction with that Lakers Fan 17 June 2010. Caught him good there behind the backboard. Couldn't go anywhere. Simmons had to take it. Came all the way from Boston after Pierce hadn't promised him he wouldn't have to.

    tee, hee.
