The problem with Garino is that he looks not existent on offense...being relegated in the corner for the casual three. Hope he has something more than this, also 'cause his shooting mechanics looks slow.
We are taliking about a guy that comes to be the 3-D guy for the bench unit.
That unit has enough firepower, Danny Green looked great in the minutes he shared with the 2nd unit last year, yet his offense is basically the 3-pt shot and (sometimes) a midrange off one dribble.
Garino is more polished offensivelly than any of our historic 3-D guys, either starters (Bowen, Danny) or no (Udoka, Bogans).
Garino play's to passive for me for long stretches; will have to fix that to play here.

Except that this guy can actually defend, shoot, and dribble the ball.
Garino got benched last game to match up Lithuania's height. And there was no chance in any of the other two wings (Manu and Nocioni) would get benched. I didn't like the move, our bigs aren't good enough to make a difference. Our only chance is to stay small and try to make the other team adapt. That's how we won the previous two games.
Garino is the odd one out of the group. Coach probably didn't wanna lose with inexperienced young guys .
Yeah that never made any sense to me, and when Garino was in he was easily the second best player out there behind Manu.
Garino is better than Nocioni right now but I'm sure the coach wouldn't dream of playing him over 13.

And won two vital offensive rebounds on the clutch. That's an underrated part of his game that contrubutes to winning basketball.
Great game by Garino today, and was +13 on a very even overtime game, better thn Nocioni (who played great with +11) and worse than Campazzo (team leading +17).
Most of the game he was on Barbosa, and played him very well, Barbosa was -8 for the game.
Great defense, some baskets here and there, a complete game for him.
Seriously thinking about jumping in the wagon TBH...

His defense and offense is better than porker tbh.. I hope your "he needs manu" shtick gets dropped.
It also showcased him as the 1st option and starting. Also playing against a stacked team. We learned a lot of things actually.
