Campazzo has more speed than Tony.
Same thing that happened to Hedo
Campazzo has more speed than Tony.
Same guy.
Still waiting...
Spurs have a logjam for Toros players!
Guaranteed to spending time with the Toros: Murray, LJC, Garino (if he makes it), Forbes (if he makes it), Arcidiacono (if he make it), Bertans (though I doubt it).
With Simmons being 11, Bertans likely more ready to play at 12, and LJC & Murray guaranteed. Garino will have to fight for a spot. I see our 14 & 15 guys being in Austin a lot. I also see the end of the bench rotating a bit as Pop gives them a shot. I don't know much about Murray other than he is on the roster.
No things wrong.
I wrote 13+2, not 15 for a reason. And I said nothing about anyone's status as far as invitee or guaranteed. I spoke very clearly about who ends up where. Not sure why you think you learnt me anything.
Whoever grabs the 15th spot will active. All are low-ceiling guys who can contribute in a defined role and limited minutes. Arcidiacono would be the third PG, Forbes would be a shooting specialist, and Garino would be a defensive guy. LJC and especially Murray have a lot more upside, so letting them cultivate it in Austin makes sense.
Yep, I agree there will be a rotation with the end of the bench guys. Lots of back and forth this year.
Agreed, if Garino makes the team i expect Murray and LJC to be with the toros the most, with Murray being on and off to fit Tony´s rest needs.
The reason is that Murray and LJC are the youngest and also the rawest players on the team. Bertans comes of playing in a First level European league, and Garino will come directly from Olimpic compe ion, very elite compe ion for both. While Livio and Murray come from lesser leagues.
I would have signed Nochioni three years ago instead of drafting Kyle/signing Garino.
Yesterday, I only found a link with brazilian commentators, didn't understand a single word but they mentioned Noch every second. What a player.
48 minutes 37 points. Amazing.
After seeing Garino and Forbes its gonna be close. I think Garinos skill set is more valuable though. 3 and D vs basically just 3 and some D. Garino can guard 3 different positions while Forbes can guard pgs. Another body that can Dee up and space the floor off the bench would be welcomed highly especially if anything happens to KL or DG. Some insurance. Forbes is basically Patty insurance while Garino can cover more spots. When Manu sits, you'd have Patty, Pato, Bertans, Anderson, and Dedmon which helps that lineup with defense, one of its weaknesses. Might lack in playmaking though so then you could have, Patty, Simmons, Pato, Anderson, and Dedmon. His strong suit should help him get rotation minutes if he makes it especially if he's making threes. He's a playmaker on d and that's what you look for in players. I'm high on him. Well I'm on both. I just think Pato is much more versatile and valuable. He's an ideal role player and he's more advance on offense than DG. And I'm saying for 3 and D here.
Nocioni had some stinker games b4 that particular game FYI. He had been shooting bricks and was bound to have a game to level the shooting %.
Can't compare young draftees to veterans TBH. There is that article on Manu himself that said Manu didn't look early like what he would become. Spurs were almost lucky to get him as he wasn't that good when he was very young. Kawhi didn't look like an offensive player for a long time and certainly didn't look like what he is when he was 19-20.
What ppl need to keep in mind is that draftees are for the future. Specially the youngest guys the team drafts. Hate to bring it up, but Nocioni was in the NBA but washed out of it (injuries?, desire to return to Europe? I don't know)
If anything you may have said you wanted Nocioni instead of the Dayers and Bonners of the world and I would support you, but the Spurs need to keep taking raffle tickets with their young picks TBH.
So Thomas Robinson is gone?? hehe
I'm one of the few guys here who think that Kyle will improve a lot next seasons, I also posted that the guys who hate him now, are the same posters who said that Kawhi "will be only a decent defender" so I don't have any problem with waiting/developing young players.
But I watched some games of last Euro Finals Four and Nochioni's still great. I'd love to have a player like him on the team, he's so intense, a fierce compe or.
Like I said he washed out of the league already.. de colo too. Fiba and NBA not the same thing.. but not that I am against it. What I am against in general is taking these old guys (he's 36 by the way) instead of guys who have upside, in general. Even picks like CoJo who looked very marginal for 2 seasons turn out to be NBA players... just can't give up on young guys that quickly to continue to pick TOSB TBH.
Not sure if they had the same story. The Bulls were in some rebuilding process and had to move/leave some players, but again, I'm not sure about that.
My only exposure to Garino was the Brazil vs Argentina game the other day, but to me he looked very very good. He has great form on his jumpshot and was great defensively. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Perhaps.... game quickness is something Tony still has from time to time... even while his elite speed has declined.
Manu was known as the Micheal Jordan of Argentina when they drafted him.

Que lindo ver a Garino acá y que orgullo
