I thought Roberson shut down prime Kawhi moreso than prime Kawhi shut down James.

There is no reason for KL to be a vocal leader. The only thing that KL needs to do is score, or defend, when it matters. The problem isn't his stats, the problem is when is he getting the stats. He was dumped on in the final minutes of play in the OKC series. It's either a coaching issue, or a player IQ issue, but I'm sure the answer lay somewhere in between.
So it's either one or the other but you're sure it's both?

Yes - posters on here will say it's Pop's fault for not putting KL into position, others will say its KL not understanding or demanding the ball in a certain situation. I think its both.
PG had the same drives per game than Kawhi with a higher USG%
We want him to drive more just because the Spurs need a driver/penetrator desperately...and Parker and Manu can't do it anymore. I mean, they can't with the high-frequency and success-rate they had in the past. But Kawhi's a SF not a guard.
Kawhi has improved a lot his drives, we saw him attacking the rim in the OKC series, and most times he looked strong, that makes us want to see more of it in the next season, but I doubt Pop'll increase Kawhi's driving Fq%.
He's a very versatile scorer who will spend his minutes on Isos, posting-up, spotting-up...in every situation of the game, from every spot on the floor, because he looks great at all.
During many years, Parker was one of the best at driving to the hoop in the league, but his best season in getting to the line, he had 5 FTA per game (Kawhi's last season 4.6 FTA) so I doubt -again- that Kawhi'll have a huge uptick in FTAs, this team doesn't force shots/offensive situations in that way. Also, he needs to drive more so he can penetrate & kick out or draw more fouls. He needs a huge uptick in FTA per game.

Andre Roberson didn't do .
Nice taste in music poser.
Andre Roberson readies for another go at Spurs' Kawhi Leonard
...tomorrow Roberson has to guard Spurs star Kawhi Leonard for the first time since last year’s Western Conference Semifinals, when the Thunder defeated San Antonio in six games.
That series, in some ways, was Roberson’s coming out party.
“It is pretty cool, especially just seeing the impact that I have on people here (in San Antonio)...It’s just a testament to the hard work I put in leading up to that point” Roberson said.
Do y'all think Roberson is a possibility this summer or is this forum averse to signing him?
Considering how the Spurs need shooters, I don't think they go after him. Although he's a blue collar player and Pop is a fan of those guys.
Hes bqsically Danny Green. With better dunking skills of course. What the would we do with 2 scrubs like that???
Only possibility is if Simmons bolt tbh.
So spot on it's crazy![]()
I realize he's not an all star but I was under the impression that Roberson could actually dribble? From what I've seen he's more reliable than Simmons but that's just my opinion.
I guess I was just thinking if Mills, Simmons and Ginobili leave he'd be an option.
Ibaka, Kanter, and Adams owned the paint. That was the series. Without those guys being in the middle, we're not having this discussion.
Refs ed us again also
You know you're a scrub when you're a SF and Tony Parker and Patty Mills guard you.
Oladipo imposing his will this time around
Kiwi getting bang bussed by Oladipo and Roberson
