Just amazing what Manu was doing at age 38. He still has a high gear that he can selectively use. He still has a good degree of agility. He can even keep up with the young fast guards on defense, too.
Meanwhile, TOSB, Kobe, 37 was having the worst season in NBA history.

TOSB had the worst season last year. Kobe even called himself "not a top 200 player". And Manu actually found his legs as the season progressed; whereas, Kobe looked like more and more tired with each passing game. Manu was spry and effective. Kobe was apathetic and terrible. There is no comparison in that Manu was a quality player while Kobe was some old-timer clinging to past glory for idol worshiper fans.

Also, age and not minutes played is the biggest factor in slowing down. Manu showing the great care and resilience while TOSB couldn't keep up.
