It's too late now with these Marvel Thor movies having been out.

But....

If somebody had done a Thor from the myths movie right it could have been fantastic. Hollywood has never done the story right and the Marvel Thor wouldn't make a zit on the mythology Thor's butt.

Same with Hercules, we have yet to see that done right.

And, Conan has yet to be done as REH would have intended.

Stiil waiting for Moor s (the kids here will have fun with that) Elric of Melniborn stories, if done right that would be the best of the fantasy/sword and sorcery genre brought to the big screen. The Elric saga simply on another level.

Fritz Leibers..Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser....stories need to be looked at when it comes to heroic fantasy and the movies. As does Lin Carters.... Thongor.

Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser are two sword-and-sorcery heroes appearing in stories written by American author Fritz Leiber. They are the protagonists of what are probably Leiber's best-known stories. One of his motives in writing them was to have a couple of fantasy heroes closer to true human nature than the likes of Howard's Conan the Barbarian or Burroughs's Tarzan.^[1]
Fafhrd is a very tall (seven feet) and strong northern barbarian, skilled at both swordsmanship and singing; the Mouser is a small (not much more than five feet) mercurial thief, gifted and deadly at swordsmanship (often using a sword in one hand and a long dagger—technically a main-gauche—in the other), and a former wizard's apprentice who retains some skill at magic. Fafhrd talks like a romantic, but his strong practicality usually wins through, while the cynical-sounding Mouser is prone to showing strains of sentiment at unexpected times. Both are rogues, living in a decadent world where to be so is a requirement of survival. They spend a lot of time drinking, feasting, wenching, brawling, stealing, and gambling, and are seldom fussy about who hires their swords. But they are humane and—most of all—relish true adventure.



Thongor of Lemuria is a fantasy novel written by Lin Carter, the second book of his Thongor series set on the fictional ancient lost continent of Lemuria. It was first published in paperback by Ace Books in 1966. The author afterwards revised and expanded the text, in which form it was reissued as Thongor and the Dragon City, first published in paperback by Berkley Books in 1970. This re led and revised edition became the standard edition for later reprintings.

The first two movies were meh, tbh. But they are already of to a good start with that awesome cast + finally kicking Darcy and Jane to the curb. Here's to hoping that third time's the charm.

Nope, just find it gay every time a grown man nuts himself over the newest comic book movie. If you had children it'd at least be understandable.

i had no problems with darcy in either one. Portman phoned in the second movie cause they told her a woman would direct, but did the smart thing and didn't have a woman direct. The first movie was good for what it was, the second one was balls, i watched it once and it wasn't even in the theater.
