It's funny because these are the most intelligent yet altruistic guys in the league, but you have most players in the league greedily squeezing every penny they can out of their teams (so they can have more hoes and diamonds and pimped out cars) yet mindlessly voting Democrat because they've been suckered into thinking the libs stand for anyone of color (they just use them as a foundation tool/platform). Crazy how polyticks works.
To be fair, they don't vote.

I know what his politcal slant is. I just don't know that it's all that big a deal to him all the same. He donated $5K to Obama in 12. I think that's probably more about street cred than it is about being a hardcore koolaid guzzler.
Pop is very well educated and well read. I'm sure it's quite a "big deal" to him who is the leader of our country.

I don't see it that way. He's a guy who reads the room. He doesn't want to cut against the grain. If he were still in the air force, he'd have given $5K to Mitt.

No telling what he thinks in his heart, but he just seems like guy who doesn't straddle the fence much. However you could be absolutely right.

I do know one thing for sure- October 3rd is a long ways away!

Meanwhile, TD is telling Obama to off like a boss.
Im pretty sure the quote was "you know Im not into that kind of thing" not " off Obama". I understand though how details sometimes get in the way of a good story.

politics not that important to him, yet he donates $5k to obama's campaign in 2012:
    http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/08...bama-revealed/

politics not that important, yet he choses to talk politics with his players:
" Sure. I think it’s really important because it’s the right thing to do. We spend a good deal of time discussing politics, race, food and wine, international events, and other things just to impart the notion that a life of satisfaction cannot be based on sports alone."

Are you actually claiming that global politics is the reason the Spurs won championships?
no, it was the franchise political/cultural situation versus the other 29 teams. It goes for any league with a salary cap; the team with the most impact players who take the most significant paycuts is always going to have the best chance to win.

Yep. Free galore and mooching... and HRC foreign policy wise is on the same side as her husband, Bush and to some degree Obama... she like the others is going to ride and die with NATO including terroristic regimes in Turkey and Saudi Arabia instead of changing our allegiances away from the radical Islamist Wahhabi Sunnis to the more reasonable Russians and more secular regimes such as in Syria...

That's why the Democrats don't want to use radical Islam as part of their argument. Because their arteries are too connected to radical jihadi government nations in OPEC like Saudi, Qatar and others. Trump wants to cut the cords and ally with non-religious people such as in Russia, that to me is a breath of fresh air, I like it.

And yes I acknowledge Trump winning would mean some short term inflation and rise in some interest rates...between the tariffs and cutting off ties with radical Islamic oil partners, those aren't good but they might be a necessary evil... getting Americans without a college degree back to work and cutting off the blood (money) supply to ISIS and other terrorist groups funded by the radical Sunni portion of the OPEC cartel...

Hillary Clinton's favorability ratings have plummeted to their lowest point of any time during her 25-year career in public service, a new poll out Wednesday showed.

A whopping 56% of Americans said they had an unfavorable view of the Democratic presidential nominee, the latest Washington Post / ABC News poll showed.

Meanwhile Republicans keep giving Billions of dollars in tax breaks to the rich and people are mad that a small very tiny portion in comparison goes out as welfare.

There is a Welfare state for the rich and Republicans keep giving them more tax breaks while trying to cut programs for the poor. Makes total sense.

The problem isn't the 1% having to pay higher taxes. The problem is the democrats imposing high taxes such as the Obamacare bull which make it HARD FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS TO SUSTAIN THEMSELVES. They force middle class people to have it rough by having to pay for expensive insurance even if they're young and don't need it. That's anti-freedom.

so people don't need insurance if they're young? because young people never get sick or injured?

and it's not anti freedom, chief justice roberts upheld the mandate as within the government's taxing power.

the affordable care act prevents insurers from denying coverage to people with preexisting conditions. so it literally allows people to get to sustain themselves.

It protects them from denying, but it doesn't protect them from price-gouging or increasing prices beyond the US inflation rate... and they balloon it by a ridiculous amount while the executives get rich. THAT is what the government needs to regulate, the prices... price gouging on inelastic things like medical insurance and medical procedures/office visits etc especially if they're going to require everyone including young adults have insurance.

no... Obama, Bush and Hillary/Bill Clinton I could see... but Trump is a completely different animal... Trump wants to ally us with Russia, Syrian government and Iran and completely renounce our alliance with the thugs who have been feeding ISIS, al-Qaeda etc and have thus been killing us... Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Greater Sunni OPEC, etc.
