Actually a great landing spot for him if he doesn't back out like last year. He can be with De Colo, so there's so familiarity, and it's a great platform to still stay relevant in the minds of NBA FO people. Only downside is that they might be a little too good of a team for him to play a lot. Hopefully for his sake he still has some development left.

He is probably going to be their 3rd center. I would be surprised if he managed to stay on the roster for the whole season. It only took one month for his Chinese league team to replace him last season. I wonder if Messina used some of his connections to help Ayres land this contract.

Blood clots are scary but I wonder if this is a true failure of the physical or contract induced?

    You're both wrong.

Davis and Griffin were and are the best power forwards in the league. If you consider Towns as one (he's a true hybrid, though given their pursuit of Noah and Gasol and their other bigs, he's slated to play more power forward), he's poised to join them, with Aldridge, Green, Millsap, Horford and Love, in the next tier. Bosh slotted in after Aldridge.

Blake played 35 games & Davis was putting empty numbers like Pau while getting raw dogged by Softridge when they went up head-to-head.

So missing games makes Griffin a worse player? You like hyping up Gasol's empty numbers, but Davis' superior ones don't count? He regressed from the previous season and between that and the (rightful) Towns hype, he's now become underrated.

Of course Aldridge bullied Davis. Despite a roughly 12 pound difference, Davis lacks base strength and Aldridge is one of the strongest players in the league.

I don't want to make a thread for Garnett so will just drop this here. Spurs paying a bit of homage to him with a flashback photo in their tweet account.

Davis has a long way to go before he's Bosh. Needs to at least have a healthy season first. Love Blake, but his intangibles are lacking.

In the context of LAST season, Blake doesn't qualify since he didn't even play 50% of the season.

You like hyping up Gasol's empty numbers, but Davis' superior ones don't count? He regressed from the previous season and between that and the (rightful) Towns hype, he's now become underrated.
Davis was WORSE than Pau on defense last season & the Pelicans were BETTER with him OFF the court....just let that sink in.

Of course Aldridge bullied Davis. Despite a roughly 12 pound difference, Davis lacks base strength and Aldridge is one of the strongest players in the league.
    Meanwhile Gaymond is 7ft/275lbs.

I didn't interpret it that way. You'll have to ask him what he meant since he's too scared to talk to me because we might disagree.

I know, but he's still better than Aldridge and unlike a lot of you, I'm not an Aldridge hater.

Green has a strong base; Davis is top heavy. Generally speaking, the stronger the base, the better the post player, on offense and defense.

A perfect example of this was the '13 Finals. In the latter half of the series, Duncan abused Bosh, even though they're about the same height and were about the same weight at the time, too.
