So it's the medias duty to spin it? Media people are subjective, we don't need em for a 1 on 1 debate. Let people decide themselves what to think
No it's the media's duty to remove spin.

Ahead of Debate, Trump Endorsed by US Immigration Officers
    https://ca.news.yahoo.com/ahead-deba...100639011.html

Crane said the endorsement was conducted by a vote of the union's membership and that Clinton received only 5 percent of the vote.

Why do you keep assuming that fact-checking only benefits Hillary?

Because they won't fact check her, establishment and media are all in for Clinton. I'd love for them to call her out but they won't. They don't even touch her decades ling
    war on women.

He should fact-check both of them.

This all stems from Matt Lauer's rightly-criticized interview with Trump a few weeks ago.

i doubt the moderators directly personally fact check either one.

What I expect to happen when one tells a whopper is the moderator will redirect to the other one and ask them if they want to respond to the statement.

I disagree, I think Holt will overcompensate if anything after the feedback on Lauer. He may even refer directly to those interviews.

Yeah, people were criticizing Jimmy Fallon for not "pressing Trump". I don't know why people think lare night talk shows should be Meet The Press.

Clinton To Press Trump To Spell Out Policy Plans In U.S. Presidential Debate

Democrat Hillary Clinton will press Republican Donald Trump to provide more specifics on his policies in their presidential debate on Monday,

Clinton would challenge Trump at the debate “to reveal what his plans are. You know, for example, he has not revealed any plan whatsoever to defeat ISIS (Islamic State) militants.”

I reviewed every Republican primary debate. Here are Trump’s 7 key moves.

    1) Catchphrases: Trump speaks in memorable but meaningless three-word slogans

    2) Mythmaking: Trump turns tough policy questions into simple stories

    3) The Gish Gallop: Trump’s endless parade of falsehoods

    4) Drama: How Trump riled up antagonists

    5) Running commentary: Trump lets the voters peek behind the curtain

    6) Filibusters: Trump runs out the clock before he has to give details

    7) Egomania: Trump only cares when the conversation is about him

5 Ways Hillary Clinton Can Mock Thin-Skinned Trump to Make Him Go Bonkers at Tonight's Debate

The size of various things seems to be a sore spot for Trump.

    1. Mention his tiny fingers. Chances of a resulting Trump meltdown: 4 out of 5.

    2. Imply that he may have a micropenis. Chances of a resulting Trump meltdown: 5 out of 5.

    3. Suggest he doesn’t have the brains to be president. Chances of a resulting Trump meltdown: 4 out of 5.

    4. Hint that he's secretly poor. Chances of a resulting Trump meltdown: off the chart.

    5. Note that to know Donald Trump is not to love Donald Trump. Chances of a resulting Trump meltdown: 3 out of 5.

and of course, "why do you want to your daughter?

    or

"As a child rapist, when did you stop ing your daughter(s)?"

Media Rocked By New Poll Of Voters Demanding That Moderators Fact Check Debates

Voters are demanding that the debate moderators fact check the candidates during the debate according to a new poll.

Voters want fact checks during the debates. Nearly half of Trump supporters want debate moderators to fact-check the candidates.

The American people want to be informed.

Fact checking isn’t a matter of partisan politics but of the media doing their job of vetting the presidential candidates.

The corporate media are setting themselves up for a giant public backlash if they continue to insist on keeping fact checking out of the debates.

There is no point in having journalists moderate the presidential debates if they aren’t going to fact check.

Voters are fed up with a do-nothing Congress, and a government that doesn’t get things done.

This at ude has spilled over to the media, and the networks are playing with fire if they continue to insist that moderators do not fact check at the debates.

    The media has been warned.

Voters are angry, and they are going to take out their rage on the press if they screw up these debates.

    http://www.politicususa.com/2016/09/...iticus+USA+%29

The corporate media don't want to destroy Trash with fact-checking, because they need Trash un-destroyed and "apparently" in a race hyped by corporate media as "close", "compe ive", to keep people following the media, aka, ad $$$.

A late night show is different from a news show or a debate. Fallon has no obligation to conduct a policy discussion with Trump, his show is strictly entertainment.

(Though I agree with criticisms that he's an ass-kisser.)

Fallon is an equal opportunity ass kisser. He did it with Hillary too. I don't see why people are surprised. These late night entertainment shows would never get any guests if they knew they were going to be ambushed. It is expected that they will be softball appearances.

He has to be. Especially this early in his late night career. Letterman was able to grill Trump because Letterman had been on the air forever. He was already established. Matt Lauer oth had every right to get called out/
